Hi All, I just put a deposit on new MY24 M240i RWD build (2k off MSRP). I have a production # and a Week 3 build date.

Does anyone know if the Mexico factory has any delays in production at the moment or are orders going smoothly? I'm in So Cal so I'm hoping the transit time once on the ship will be less than some parts of the world. Can't wait!

I don’t think there’s any delay atm. I would guess a March delivery if everything goes smoothly. Also, that’s a pretty good discount.

My status has changed to 195 so the car is at sea.....finally

So my UK car which was built in October and waiting in Veracruz since 27th October I was fully expecting it to be on Niagara Highway in order to make it in time for my expected delivery date. My car did NOT make it onto the ship and I’m told there are big shipping delays. My original expected delivery week of 25th December has slipped to 22nd January. I am hoping the car makes it onto the Sirius Highway which is anchored outside Veracruz right now (waiting to dock I presume).

Or the Horizon Highway which is a few days behind it. Theoretically if it makes it onto one of these and all else goes smoothly my car could arrive early-mid January but fearing the worst so far.

EDIT: In addition to this my dealer told me he has a customer who’s car was built in Mexico September, still not on a boat.

That’s nuts.
My car was a December 22 build and at the dealers 1st week Feb 23.
Mind you it is pretty quick - probably built on a Thursday.

My previous two cars from Mexico were also on the boat within a week of being built and delivered in a similar timeframe as yours.
When you using the boat tracking apps it seems there’s big delays. A lot of ships anchored around the area doing nothing, waiting for a space to go and dock.

Picked up my car today. It was at the dealership 10 days ago, but I was out of the country. Loving it so far.

Did anyone from Europe receive the car that was on Drive green highway ship? I was in contact with my dealer and he told me that the car is still in Hamburg (Germany) and that they have problems with transport. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since car came to Germany with ship.

I'm still waiting too. The seller still hasn't confirmed when it will be delivered, even though the car is in Europe.

I’m this close to cancelling and buying a Porsche Cayman GTS. Theyre selling for £55k with less than 10k miles

My car was scheduled for delivery end of December and if that’s the case it should have been on Niagara Highway. As soon as it missed that boat I called for a status update, order delayed until end of January. Now it’s missed two more boats and it’s impossible it will be received before February. Very disappointed to have these last minute delays with poor communication. My car has been built since October and it’s feeling less and less new the more it waits in some car park.

Update: I’m status 195 and despite coming very close to some Cayman GTS I’m sticking with the Bimmer.

Dealership called me yesterday, that the car will definitely not come to them this year.They don't have enough capacity to transtport it from central warehouse here

Same bad news on my side. Dealer contacted me yesterday and said that the car moved to Graz (that's good news). Bad news it's that the car needs to go to central warehouse Schwertberg and then to Slovenia. That means that the car will most definitely come next year because of the holiday they have problems with transport

Where is now your car? also in Graz?

I did not receive any detailed information, only that there is no capacity for transportation, they did not specify in which warehouse it is now

Now I'm just afraid that I signed an inflation clause with the order, and if the importer raises the price from the new year, I'll have to pay more. The dealer also offered me a loan with a 0% interest last year, so I hope they will keep all their promises and all prices and rates are still valid in 2024.

Yeah, the price of the car (and purple paint) has increased for ~1000EUR total since I ordered it (Feb 2023). Figured it out when was getting my financing in order.

My car arrived today at the dealer. I’m picking it up next week because I’m on a sick leave. It needed 33 weeks to arrive.
Here is my timeline:
May 28 - Deposit
August 25 - Order Received (week 41 allocation)
October 5 - Production Begins
October 17 - Production finished/At the port waiting for ship
November 22 - Bremerhaven port (Germany)
December 19 - warehose in Graz (Austria)
January 18 - At the dealer (Slovenia)
