Pretty much my experience.

Noticed when I got in the auto stop/start was *enabled*. This had been coded (?) to default to disabled.

Started the engine. Pressed the button to disable auto stop/start. Got to my destination and went in store for a bit. Came back to car got in and the auto stop/start button now showed this feature was disabled.

So far I have not found any other settings that have been affected/changed.

Just updated mine. Much faster than the previous update. On a quick drive after the update, the Start/Stop setting did not change from before. The M1 and M2 button settings were back to the factory settings. Have not noticed anything else so far. It was not clear what the update actualy updated.

I'm pleased to report that the 03/2024.40 update went smoothly and was uneventful....unlike the previous update that brought up error codes.

No noticeable changes to any driver settings.

Oh, and as is typical for all previous updates...no visible changes or improvements to ANY system options.

I’m hesitant because I read the ASS cannot be coded to remember the last setting anymore and that some coding options no longer work. Is that your experience?

Haven't had the opportunity to do any coding...perhaps later this summer.

Ran the car through its paces this morning. Pleased to report that I experienced NO changes to the ASS characteristics.

When ASS disabled...it stays disabled regardless of driver mode, M1/M2 selection, etc.

Updated from 03/2024.35 to 03/2024.40.

All is well. I think this was a very minor update to correct something urgent (like some sort of back hole).

No coding was lost, for the first time updating. So everything is intact, no loss of features as mentioned by someone before.

The only thing that happens is a reset of the M1/M2 presets. Just set mine back to what they were and good to go.

Mine also lost the "mirror dip in reverse" settings, but nothing else that I can see.

Do you mean lost the coding you had done to make it move less down?

Are you sure yours is pointing further down as stock? That didn’t happen to mine.

Yes the stock was 90%, I found that 50% was optimal for me and coded it with BimmerCode. After each software update so far, that setting went back to 90% and had to recode it again.

It’s strange that you only lost that one change and not the other coding you had done and that it didn’t happen to my car.

The mirror dip in reverse setting was lost for me after each update. I only have few changes from the deafult coding. The 5 blinks was lost after the first 2 updates, then it stuck. The mirrow folding was also lost once or twice, but stayed with the last update. The heated seats temps got lost with every udpdate, including the current one.
