Ty some much for this! I might actually give this a try.

Was looking forward to using the cubby to store my Glock when not holstered. Then my build was switched to MY23 and I was disappointed!

Edit: what did you use to cut? Was it tough to cut through the material?

Some small drill cut disk.
Its easy to cut if you use mechanical help, doing by hand can be very hard.

You can find different part numbers as soon as it’s for the G20 generation you are good to go.

My part number is 51166999640 I think was from a 2016 car but you can search for a 2019 model probably has another PN

Funny, my brand new 24 M240i doesn't have this storage box but it is shown in the owners manual. I am guessing maybe they didn't get rid of it for all versions? Or, they just missed the update in the OM.

They got rid of it for all 2023 and newer cars

I knew they removed it - just odd that it is still showing in the OM.

Looks like more work than I would want to do myself just to gain a little bit of storage space. Would have been nice to have tho.
