I should have added that my order is showing status 111. Although it is being delivered to Germany it is a US spec car. I'm not sure if this has much relevance but this might be a good sign for other NA orders.

Not saying there are delays but the OP may be getting his car built earlier as the car is being shipped overseas and more economic to go at timeframe all others vs a one off shipment.

I’m status 111 Conf. Prod week 17th April. A bit later than I had hoped given the requested prod week was 9th of March but at least it’s happening!

FYI I was #1 on my list at my dealer. Located Australia. Dealer thinks shipping will be 3-4 months. Would have hoped it would be quicker coming from Mx to AU since my old M140 took just under 3 and it came from Germany

Seems those in a euro flavored country are getting the cars manufactured first. Any reason for this? Because it may take longer to ship to the different continents?

Definitely because of shipping. It sorta like when cooking, you start with the dishes that take the longest to cook so everything finishes at the same time. They are going to start production for the furthest countries first so that most of the #1 allocation people in each country receive them as close to the same time as possible. Also au might be a higher profit margin. So if it takes 3 months to ship to au and 1 month to get to US than I'd guess it might take almost 2 months longer for us to get our allocations (probably not that long, I was over simplifying).

I was actually thinking its about cost paid which as you said, highest profit.

Also curious will the US cars get to their ports via water passage of over land?

I am actually curious if it's land or sea also, my guess is T_U_D would know. I think train would be most economical though.

The cars will ship from Mexico by boat to various ports in the US depending on the dealership's location. Texas cars go by boat to Galveston, for example.

So that will also mist likely cause delays, having enough cars to fill the ships for each port destination before they set sail.

Brunswick, Georgia is the port for Florida cars.

I was thinking shipping by boats would cause delays too, not only because of waiting for ships to fill, but loading and unloading, and the ports are delayed in general. Train would be way more efficient and economical. They have to stick to the systems that are already in place though. I was hoping it would be train but had a feeling boat was the normal way.

They are loaded for multiple U.S. ports. SLP is now producing five models for the U.S. market; 330, M340, 230, M240, and the M2. Plenty of units to ship.

Aha, thanks. Can you translate all the PW-Handel, LW-voraus etc stuff for us please?

18/5/2023 would usually mean May the 18th on this side of the Atlantic, if that’s where your week 18 is coming from… EDIT: Scratch that, just seen where it says Woche WW/MM/YYYY!

Is that your spec or a HEA that you opted for?
