Expected msrp discount on M240i

I ready to pull the trigger on a new one & was wondering what kind of discount people have been getting on a 2024.

I was able to get $1k off on my 2022 but I don't think people are really discounting these cars.

I was able to get 7% via a broker. Local dealers were sticker or didn’t even have an allocation for a build.

Most are still being sold at MSRP. Doesn’t hurt to ask for $2k off and go from there.

As long as they're not tacking 4K back somewhere else on the bill (warranty, ceramic, 3M, floor mats, nitrogen, interest above BMW rates...the list goes on), I'd say go for it if you can get the discount.

Watch your trade value if that's a consideration. They can take money off the MSRP only to rip you off equally on your trade

^correct, treat the out the door price (agreed upon price + tax and dealer fees), trade in value (if doing so) and interest rate (if financing) as separate deals. NEVER roll them together or worse yet, allow the dealer to just give you the monthly payment.

It's a $500 rebate for the 2 series.

Put down a deposit on one yesterday for MSRP with a $1000 discount. No other market adjustments either. Good luck!

I got $2k off msrp when I got my MY 24 m240i x drive. No dealer additions or anything added to the price.

Received it a few days shy of 2 months after placing my order with an allocation available at the time.

I had a bit more than 9% of discount on the M240iX! But unfortunately taxes are really high there for this type of cars ...

Took the plunge today! About 8.3% off msrp. Plus a great trade in value, within a few hundred of what I would ask if selling privately after tax savings on the trade in. Build scheduled for production week 45.

That was a really good deal.
The three dealers near me in SoCal charge MSRP unless you live a couple of hundred miles away and are ordering thru them just because of the better price. Then 3% discount possible. But mine didn't add any BS add-ons and I paid cash with no trade-in, so they couldn't make money elsewhere

Paid MSRP. Neither of my local dealers had any M240i xDrives in stock. And either dealership had any xDrive allocations.

So the dealer that I ended up using had to locate an allocation from another out of state dealership

I was able to get $2700 off msrp. And no bs fees. family friend helped me get one. otd was $3500 cheaper than the cheapest dealer locally.

Spec’d out 2024 leather, and ztk package with and all add ons, minus cruise assist was $64,550 otd. Now the waiting game…

I managed to get $4k off MSRP. There was a bit of back and forth negotiating. This was on a preconfigured, near fully optioned M240 xDrive that was due at the dealership within a week. They are a good dealership and really take care of repeat customers.

Just to add to the data points, I got 1K off MSRP on an allocation order a few weeks back.

My local dealer was running Invoice plus $1k at the end of December. So like 2.5k off

I know it depends on region/location, but don’t buy the “we don’t offer any discounts on this model”. I heard the same thing when the negotiations first started.
