Locating DME Fuse F17 short
Hey all, first post here.
I’m looking for the wiring diagram and trouble shooting recommendations for chasing a short on the power side of fuse 17a on my 2011 e93 328i. Background. I have a 2011 328i convertible throwing codes 2A13 2A18 2B3D. Checked my pins at the dmtl connector and the power supply wire (red/ white) is showing continuity to ground (disconnected from dmtl pump). It still gets +12v with engine running and the fuse has not blown. when I pull the fuse the wire is no longer showing continuity to ground on the dmtl connector side so it must be towards the DME. I believe I need to check the X60001 connector but not sure which pin I’m looking for and what else needs to be looked at. Any help is appreciated. |

Attached are ISTA ScreenPrints showing circuit, F17 Location, Connector Locations & Connector Views. F17 should
have Battery Voltage with KL87 on (Ignition ON). If any questions about testing, please ask. George |

Thank you George!! Will dig into it this weekend and report back.
Mgh024 - yes very strange I’ve not seen anything like it on the forums. also I don’t have any other electrical issues/ codes which seems odd As a sanity check - there is no other reason I should be getting continuity of f17 to ground right? I assume this is the issue that needs to be resolved |

Also George I’m not seeing info on what connector and pin to test upstream of f17. Do you have that info? How would you recommend locating the source of the short given its prior to the junction/ fuse box (towards DME)
