NGK Gap

When gapping the NGK plugs do I use inch or Metric. Searched for 30 minutes and can't find a answer.

I did .022 per recommendation on n54tech. I'm on stock turbos just FBO no meth. Is that gap too small?

Last time I went to the dyno I was on 100% E85 and put in new NGKs gapped to 0.029". When I got to the dyno they misfired worse than the relatively new factory plugs I had just taken out. Totally wasn't expecting that. Pulled them and gapped them to 0.022" as recommended by the dyno owner and all the misfires went away and I've run them at that gap since then.

Gapped at .22 and misfiring like crazy. Guess I am just going to go back to the shitty bosch plugs. With the Bosch they are too hot and I am getting tired of having to change them with every oil change.

tell you the truth i think there is something wrong with your car then...i am pretty sure there are guys out there that running the bosch plugs with upgraded turbos too.

i ran both the bosch and ngk plugs and both worked flawlessly on e30 cobb maps. and many people on here run them without issue so i am guessing that its most likely something on your car like leaky valve cover gasket or what not.

you should not have to replace plugs every oil change lol.

Can you be more specific? What are your modifications. A large portion of the community with upgrades still run stock plugs seamlessly. They typically only last 20-25K miles when tuned. (I've honestly seen some go past 50K on stock plugs but that's besides the point).

Please elaborate on your specific situation as it sounds more hardware related if you are eating plugs or a tuning issue.

I have my ngk gapped at 0.022" and been running them for the past 3000miles with no problems at all. I'm FBO on e85.
