E92 330i M Pack LSD or open diff?
Hi, I’ve been trying to figure this out but I couldn’t find an answer. I have a ‘09 E92 330i M Sport Package with the N53 engine and I want to know what kind of differential it has. My conclusion right now is that it has an electronically locking diff that locks it when I press the DTC button, is this right?

There's no LSD listed for a '09 330i. Also nothing different for an MSport. Same diff with different ratio for 6MT or Auto trans. Pressing DTC just partially disables dynamic traction control. Pressing and holding DTC button fully (almost) disables it.

No non-M cars have come with LSDs since the mid 90s. Not even a true electronic LSD. Rather eDiff is a function of the stability control that can apply one brake to simulate an LSD in some situations.
In short, it's an open diff. |
