problerm with auto roll down windows

Hello friends, I greet you with pleasure and take this opportunity to ask the owners of M2 G87 or series 2 from 2022 onwards, (I assume the Edrive system is the same).

The problem is the following: there is a function to automatically lower the car's windows halfway by PRESSING THE UNLOCK BUTTON TWICE, and then opening the door. This function is activated from the car in the windows/key option.

The problem is that it does NOT work in my car, has anyone had this same case? Any recommendation?

thank you so much

Never heard of this.

Try holding the unlock button until the window is down to the level you want, all the way down.

Window functions are on pg 86 in the owners manual, and there is no mention of the window opening 1/2 way by pressing the unlock button twice.

I’ve seen this feature on the BMW YouTube tutorials though I can’t seem to find it now.

Triple click and then pull the door handle.

But I suspect you need to disable the comfort access proximity setting.

Has been discussed on here in another thread but I’m too lazy to search at the moment.

Found this in my M2's digital owners manual:

When a window is frequently opened to the same position, this task can be performed by the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. This is useful if you frequently use the same parking garage, for example.

Additional information:
BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, refer to page 51.

Page 51 starts the section which details how to use voice commands to enable various operations. Apparently one of which is controlling windows.

And for opening the windows with the key fob:

With the vehicle key

Opening windows

Press and hold the [unlock] button on the vehicle key after unlocking.

The windows open for as long as the button on the vehicle key is pressed.

That feature is called "comfort entry". It is explicitly mentioned in the manual. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work in my car
I have already checked the settings in the car.

There's no mention of this supposed feature with the windows anywhere in the manual that I can find. Not under comfort access (p. 74) or windows (p. 86).

Me neither. That’s why I asked, since the message seemed so confident it was explicitly called out in the manual.

Automatic windows is not what you are referring to.
Automatic windows is when you set a location for the windows to roll down, based on GPS.

Say you arrive at a toll booth or pay station every day, you can set that location in the car and the window will roll down.

I only have a German manual. The feature is mentioned on page 81.
It says: "Comfort entry, press the button on the vehicle key twice in quick succession to activate the comfort entry.
Depending on the settings, the window is lowered further when a door is opened."

Interessant. Dies steht nicht in der nordamerikanischen Bedienungsanleitung. Es ist möglicherweise nicht in den USA und Kanada verfügbar.

Where are you taking this information that our cars show the feature? I’m confused. Can you post a photo?

This is not a feature in our cars. It’s not in I drive, it’s not in the manual, it doesn’t work.

All BMW coupes have frameless windows. When you open a door, the window lowers about 1/2"/12mm so you can safely open the door without the glass still being recessed into the rubber trim.

I know, but this feature should lower the window approx. halfway down.
The "standard" lowering for frameless windows which you mentioned shouldn't have the be activated in an additional step.
