GTP out of California. They've been awesome throughout this process.

Now how the hell do I install this BM3 flex fuel sensor? Anyone have any instructions for the engine bay kit?

They did a wonderful job with both seats. I would have liked a few more color options for the carbon buckets, but it’s all good. That tan interior color option with buckets would have been insane…

I was definitely bummed that I couldn’t get orange or red interior, but considering how long it took me to get the buckets at all, I’m just happy to have them.

Took a buddy of mine who was skeptical of the buckets for a spirited ride the other day. At the end of the ride he said “ok, WELL, when you drive like that, the buckets make a lot more sense”.

The seating positioning between the M Sport vs the Buckets varies greatly also. I notice that I’m seated much lower in the car like a proper race car. More upright and dialed in for driving vs the casual reclined positioning with the typical 1 hand on the wheel.

The buckets for sure make 2 handed driving much more natural and comfortable than the M Sport seats. Sure you can get the seating position similar, but you can not replicate how low and dialed into the car as the buckets do.

Same. Just haven’t ordered yet cause I don’t know if I want to cut and only do midpipe. Or order both it and axle back.

Agreed very happy with the m color highlight version of the sport seats. Makes them pop.

I’m looking to pick up a AA midpipe as well. This is my 4th M car and it is the quietest out of the bunch, which was e93 m3, OG f87 and f82.

Once I put the DME back in the car I'm going to try to mess with it and see if I can't figure it out, but there are literally no instructions and no videos of anyone installing the engine bay kit in a G8x car anywhere.

Go for it! You won’t regret it! I rolled with just that midpipe for a bit before adding the axle back section.

This is my second G87 (scroll up in this thread or search my profile to see what happened to my other one). My last G87 had everything carbon EXCEPT the buckets.

I was convinced at 6ft 210lbs athletic/thick build I would be uncomfortable in them. I briefly sat in my buddies G82 with them also. I wasn’t impressed so I opted out.

This time around on my second pass, I said “F it- we go full race or nothing at all”.

I was WRONGGG. These seats change the whole drive of the car. Sure, they suck getting in or out. Sure, it’s hard to adjust yourself in them. But when you are locked in, you are locked. In.

The 6MT and sitting in these things has me constantly trying to overtake minivans keeping under 4.5k during break in.

Probably not for everyone, but I sure as hell stand corrected on them. M Sports are for sure more comfy, but there are levels to these seats. As said…not for everyone.

Ok I’m done fangirlfing them lol.
I hear this too often. Im 6'4 205 and they're very comfortable for me. I would hate to slide around in the sport seats. I remember back in the day with the Evo 8-9's everyone wished they got the seats they had in the japanese cars because they were built for the smaller demographic. In Germany there are a lot of bigger people, so im sure the seats were made for all body types. Aside from budgetary concerns, i dont see why you wouldnt get the buckets. Glad you ended up going for it, it'll be worth it especially if you track the car.

Good point! My only experience with the M-Sport seats was a 5 minute test drive in a HEA, so I don't really know any different than the bucket seating position. I sure do love sitting close to the ground though!

Did you get the AA axle back along with the AA midpipe? Or did you get a different axle back system?

Installed the IND reflector delete. These make the front end complete IMO. You can get away without in the BSM and BG, but any other color, that orange is a stain to the eyes.

Couldn't agree more with this, if you have the manual I think the seats are a must if you plan on doing any spirited driving. It feels like a proper car with this combination. Yes getting in and out is a pain but it's a small price to pay.

I just got mine back from break in service, just wait until it is unleashed - you then realise very quickly the carbon seats really hold you in.

Approaching 600 miles so almost half way through break in. Roads were pretty wet today and ran into traction control for the first time. I think I have that dialed back in my M2 button settings and will explore that soon. I have a 6 speed manual and I absolutely love the rev-matching for downshifts, especially approaching a corner with the right foot on the brake. So glad this car has that feature. Now, the sound system on the other hand could use some love....

I’ve found that swinging my left leg over and using my hand and arm strength against the bottom door sill (where it’s strong and has a pillar) and catepulting myself out works the best in getting over the seat. I can’t wait!

I snapped one of the bosses off of my $1,000 Eventuri carbon fiber engine cover. That was pretty cool.

Man I'm pissed.

Aside from that, DME is back from Finland and I got it back in the car. I was able to remove 2 of the 3 sensors for the RaceChip before I got fed up and decided to stop for the night.

Maybe tomorrow or Saturday I'll try to remove the last one, install the flex fuel sensor, and put power to the car again.

Lastly, VFC Performance completed my wheels! They're 18x11 827M style beadlocks to match the CSL wheels I have. Super stoked to get these in hand. Attached some pics of those as well.
