Lightbulb What accessories do you want on your G87?

Hey All,

I'm an engineer in the product design and manufacturing industry and I just opened up my own LLC to make aftermarket parts and accessories for the automotive/motorsports industries.

I want to break into the market with some parts for the G87 (as a new owner myself). Since this is such a new car and platform, I feel like there aren't enough products out there right now for aftermarket support. I think I can close that gap, though.

I wanted to ask the forum, what kinds of aftermarket parts and accessories would you guys like to see for your cars? Or what products exist out there already but are far too expensive?

For example, I found a seat mounted fire extinguisher bracket for the G87 but it's around $500 and I think I can produce them far cheaper.

For context I have direct access to injection molding facilities, machine shops, and production grade 3D printers.

Love the forum and everyone in it btw, this has been a great place to get all my questions answered

ABS front splitters, simple design like the Alpha-N carbon GT one. If you could produce that for $500-600 you'd have a big hit on your hands - browse through this thread and you'll see what I mean:

Please.. for the love of god make a door pocket organization insert... for both sides.

A center console tray for people with the mt and wireless charger.

Sure I can think of a few others.

An ultra thin alcantara GTS style center arm rest, the stock arm rest is annoyingly high for manual transmission cars

I dont know how to say this without people taking it the wrong way, but redesigned bumper caps may have a market. It was designed to look replaceable in the first place iirc.

Some kind of open air intakes that just replace the airboxes and leave the factory tubing.

Trunk mounted tool kit…I know it’s silly but I like having one.
