I might skip the G80C purchase, keep my current M2C and look at getting my hands on a G87 CS version.
The new M2 and C/CS will be last of it's kind. Any clue where the CS will be made?

Not the best walk around… almost lost me at "fender widening thing", lost me at it doesn't look as bad in person.

I hope the CS is at least made in Germany. Not that I don't like MX. It's like buying a Chanel or LV leather product and you want those to be made in France or Italy.

wow that sounds fantastic. Love the b58 in this application. This car is spectacular. Such a shame they didn't offer 6mt. It's ripe for it.

BMW has couple engines and couple platforms so they extend the platform and play with HP/TQ to produce cars Just think about it how many BMW model we have ? 40-50 right? How many engines BMW is producing? and for how long? BMW is saving big money in design section by reproducing the same engine over and over and then the result? Let me tell you. Since 2011 I have had several cars with the same 4.4L - V8 N63/S63 engines. Actually it's more than 10 years they have introduced this engine which was one of the best engines back in 2010 with no doubt but then every couple years they just changed some components and played with software so N63 instead of 400 HP now has 533 HP and S63 instead of 550 HP now has 625 HP (M5 CS) and guess what? Today Mercedes with 4L V8 is producing over 650 HP while 10 years ago they even didn't have a V8 turbo charger engine at this league... When I drive my 2020 M8 and compare the power/acceleration/torque under neath my foot and even sounds , with my 2013 M6, I dont feel a big difference between them! Yes M8 is quicker in 0-60 because is AWD and have a new "engine map" to produce 50 more TQ/HP but it's the same S63 engine which was even 3 years old in 2013

For example, the F87 N55 was a great engine, then government restrictions forced the S55 into the F87C . . . and the legend was born. S55 a fantastic engine but, once again, government restrictions kicked in . . . insert S58, which is an absolute beast. Soon, the government will say no ICE and we will be playing with battery operated toys that are quick but completely devoid of any character. Not sure if I am agreeing or disagreeing with you at this point? Regardless, I was simply pointing out BMW produces some great engines that they can tune to accommodate the model and target audience intended. ///AVM |

I wonder if they are country specific, (I am in Australia) and as an example my OG M2 did not have wheel arch extensions but the new Comp I picked up last week did. I asked BMW dealer to take them off and they refused as they are a ADR (Australian Design Rule) specification with the wheel not being allowed outside the body. Since my Comp is BSM and I actually don't have an issue with them and do actually like them.

Looks amazing! Really liking the front end design as well as the fender flares, hood bulge and overall proportions. The size looks just right, the F22 (and F87 for that matter) were always too small for my liking. Unfortunately here in Aus it'll only be available in Xdrive format which is disappointing.

Our exhaust systems are the same as the states. Although this is a pre-production model so exhaust could be different.

Why BMW doesn't make cars that looks good "in photos " anymore?
People keep saying yeah wait to see them in person. I didn't need to wait to see E46 or a m6gc "in person " to find they're good looking cars. |

You can discuss about how it looks, but it certainly radiates it's a real BMW and is fun to drive. The M240i will really be an iron fist in a velvet glove. Happy they didn't entirely forgot about their fan base.

I guess they are needed to comply with some rule about wheels not sticking out of the arches. Hopefully they can be removed after delivery...
