Cheapest place to find fuel pump??
Where is the cheapest place to order a hpfp for n54?
Also, what model number should i get as i think there were a bad run of pumps on certain year models, don't want to be installing a dud pump My car's a 07/07 model and the hpfp is fine, but maxing out with E55 mix of E85, so a freshen up is on the cards

Well running E85 puts a strain on the fueling system, most guys upgrade the lpfp to the fuelit drop in bucket, and then the next weakest link is the HPFP.
If it isnt up to scratch, it will struggle and the logs will reflect this. AFAIK mine was the original item so whilst i had an intake clean (the hpfp was right there to remove thus wasnt really much extra in labour i had it swapped out) Perhaps do some logs and see how she performs? |

Thanks guys. I just ordered the hpfp from Schmiedmann for a total of $423 australian delivered (included all fees etc). Can't beat that!
If i was you Socket just order one now. A fresh pump should allow you to run an E65-E70 mix on the E85 backend flash, you will then be able to run map7 and LOTSA POWAAA!! LOL

Looks like there's a bit of shipping traffic between Schiedmann and Oz with HPFPs as I've ordered one from them too. Better hurry Socks or there'll be none left by the time you get around to it!

It is just a replacement pump.
You do not need one unless yours is broken. Save your money, or donate it to some starving children. |

Also keep in mind, the Single barrel shotgun upgraded pump will set you back over $2000 aud delivered, and the double barrel even more (and need 2 hpfp pumps). The fueling side of things gets very expensive

Nice work mate!! Wish i had some Rb's FML : ( Do you have a stage 2 FuelIt fuel pump?
Also, how much was it to rebuild the turbos, not including the upgraded thrust bearing?

$800 postage!!!!! Sheeit! No its not cheap is it Socks, thats why the only mod i have left to do is Rb's, but im not parting with like 6k for a couple of little turbos (little compared to other cars that is).
Are you running the E85 flash yet with your new pump?

Socket, call Michael at Welch Autoparts in Collingwood. I remember getting mine for about 600 to 700 dollars brand new. 0409 530 510. Ive bought many parts off him for bmw and never had an issue with anythinf I bought from him.. as long as he can get it for you, you can not go wrong with quality of goods or price.

Not yet mate
I'm in on the VTT inlet GB but its looking like we wont get them until October I should really wait and have the RBs and inlets done at the same time to save labour, but October is a long way off Option 2 is to do the RBs and inlets separately and dyno between each install. Ill have a baseline from Harmsy's dyno day on the 22 Aug, another post RB install and a 3rd post inlet install It would be interesting to have dyno numbers to see if the inlets actually provide the performance gains claimed... hmmm decision, decisions |

By memory install for inlets by Advan is over $1000 as its a lot of labour, so if you wish to save some $ definitely do inlets when you do the turbos! Maybe satisfy the power mod bug with a decent e50 tune?
