norcal autoshop list
if anybody would like to create a new list with updates and additional places, feel free to post one and i'll just edit the first post.
i don't visit the regional forums very much, and this would be of great help to those who are seeking norcal shops. please follow a similar format and additional/more specific categories or changes of categories (if you see fit) would be great (5/14/09). UPDATED 7/20/2010--thanks johnhk79 Quote:

I guess I'll start with a few that rob had gave me... not sure about the experiences of a few of them though..
the So calers could probably make another thread too or maybe we could use this and just have more labels...

I have a few to add:
Tint shops - Tints R Us in San Jose (Juan Pena) - 408-971-7009 (will install at your location) Clear Bra installs - ClearArmor in San Carlos (Simon Tiu) - 650-654-6141 (must go to his shop for installs) http://www.cleararmorinc.com Paintless Dent Repair - Dent Free in San Mateo (Tony Correia) - 650-780-3030/650-366-8585/650-245-8747 I have used all three of these...sometimes on more than one car. When I ran the Audi club we got Dent Free to come to one of our get togethers..and he did 14 cars that day...at a discount. |

I think this thread is very useful but may I suggest that we add/keep in the
list shops/people we have used and we know they do quality work or at least we know someone who has used them and they were extremely satisfied while the result was absolute best. |

I see this guy in the list:

I've had personal experiences with a lot of those people
Omega Tintwerks - Vincent...just did my 335i today and i've seen a TON of his work on a bunch of buddies cars...he does GREAT tinting Jeremy @ Invisguard - He's gonna be doing my clear bra next week...he does GREAT work, i've seen a ton of cars he has worked on and the work is great. Auto innovations - my company deals with them on a daily basis and we buy a TON of tires through them...GREAT prices, GREAT alignments, GREAT work and GREAT people...Highly recomended...especially for tires/alignments Ray @ MachIII - They did alarms on my Truck and my WRX when I had it...they do great work and their customer service is great. oh and if you wanna add us to that you can as well....we're gonna have a bunch of wheels for BMW's soon...heres one of our first ones on my car: contact info is Zoeb - www.subydude.com 510.651.2956 |

for suspension installs, i've gone through both auto innovations in milpitas (ask for orlando) and carlab in santa clara (ask for darwin). both did great work, and were reasonably priced. both are also very convenient, especially for south bay people.
for body work, b-line in san jose is suppose to do very good work (never had any personal experience though). they're not cheap however. but if you're getting stuff done through insurance, check them out for sure. (408) 279-4500
