I don't believe this is it. The inner upper part of the headlight in the camo'd car is rounded whereas this light is squared off. Also, I don't see any air inlet, just a black plastic. And the gold accents make no sense relative to the M2.

The gloss black makes it very hard to tell if it's even a vent at all. My brain can't wrap around the contouring in that pic with the vent with a sticker on it.

I've only ever seen the gold accents on the GoldPlay trim variants of the X2s.

Judging by the back of the headlight, it isn't a pass-through vent. I have to wonder if its a cutout that focuses air DOWN inside a cutout in the bumper.

Based on that exposed sticker and QR code on the black plastic area, I'm assuming that the actual air vent will be a separate piece that sits over the plastic.

I'm thinking most of us are thinking about it wrong.

Instead of it being a cut-out/passthrough, maybe it's a cut-out ramp that forces air downward into a cut in the bumper.

Hard to tell if it's a vent/deflector or just a black piece of plastic. Either way it doesn't seem like the guy who designed the bumper knew what the headlight looked like or vise versa. Looks like a mistake. The gold accents would make sense if these were for a CS.

No laser for G87 and actually BMW is dropping laser lights for new models completely (not available anymore for example on LCI 3 series) and moving to matrix LED.

OLED is usually only used for rear light graphics, not headlights…and I doubt the G87 will get OLED, maybe a CSL G87, but even for the M4 CSL BMW moved to laser & LED for back..

The actual G87 headlights have the vent integrated onto the headlight assembly

Exactly. Clear give away is the inner corner is rounded on M2 and squared off in this eBay light. Below is what the vented headlight from M2 will look like. Looks like the press cars were missing the vent, which is likely a separate piece?

I don't like the single light/beam versions that BMW has moved to on the 2 series. Dual beam (or dual reflector) headlights for each side of a BMW (4 total on the front) is one of their hallmarks. The other being the split kidney grill design.

The new 2 series look more like an Acura to me. I've mistaken more than one 2 series at a distance thinking it was an Acura.

They seem to be fixated on there historical designs these day from grills and now headlights I dont mind it personaly always been a fan of the 2002.

Do you know why? Very strange that BMW invests in laser light technology and then just removes it from LCI models. I noticed that you can no longer order laser lights in an X5. You need to go X5 M for lasers..
