Got $1300 off msrp thru the Costco auto program. Purchase thru a Costco authorized dealer. No hassle. Totally worth it even if I could have saved a bit more trying to negotiate with a dozen dealers.

Any idea if the above drive to end hunger incentive ($1000.00) can be stacked with your Costco membership? As I mentioned earlier in this thread I used a similar incentive several years ago after I ordered a BMW. It might be worth a call to your sales contact.

I am not presently in the market, but plan to be next year....

I actually emailed my salesperson this morning after I saw that incentive on bmw website. I think he is off today so I’ll hear back tomorrow. I just placed the order a few day ago so I’m assuming he can cancel it and re-place it on the 18th when that goes into effect. I’ll post about it once I know.

I contacted my dealer to see if they could help me with the Drive To End Hunger promotion. He got back to me and said it wouldn't apply since the car was ordered. My car is an HEA car ordered by the dealer, not a special order for me, I put a deposit on it after it was already in the production system. Oh well, it was worth a shot, but still seems odd.

That’s irritating. I also put a $1000 deposit down but it’s refundable. So I’ll ask him to cancel it and place it again. Only thing is I may lose my allocation and it may delayed 🤔

My understanding is that OL event codes like the Hunger program apply to any car as long as your name wasn't explicitly put on the order. A dealer-ordered (inventory) car should be eligible. I'd look for a second opinion.

Some dealers don't like OL codes since they pay for half of the discount ($500).

I read on another forum last year that the local dealer is responsible for half the incentive, like you write. The dealer ended up giving the customer $500.00 off and not the full $1000.00.

Recently received the M240i price sheet for the factory-direct military (US) overseas sales program. Starts at $44,690 including delivery fee - an advertised savings of $4,855. That plus no sales tax (depending on when and where you bring the car back) is as good a deal as any these days, it seems. Deliveries not happening until Feb next year, but pre-orders possible now.
