August Allocations for MY23

I do see that there are still plenty of '22's that have yet to arrive to dealers. One '22 is even still in production. My guess is once the last of these are completed, they'll move on to the '23's.

Sheesh, I shouldn't tell them I get offered M240i allocations about every two weeks in the STL area from a couple dealers. It was (somewhat) harder to get my 230i allocation but still got one in less than a month.

Yep, it all depends upon the dealer. I shopped around and found a dealer with multiple allocations (and promptly ordered immediately on an open allocation) while other dealers i contacted had none. (note this was some time ago on a 2022) Folks that order without confirming an open allocation are setting themselves up for a potential longer wait than necessary.

I just made a last minute change. Color change from alpine white to thundernight. Has anyone made a similar change while in 112 status? Did it delay production?

Is the lower the week better?

Yes. The lower the week number, the sooner your car is built. For eg. if your production week was 35, the car will be built next week.

I got on the waitlist with my dealer at the end of May, still no allocation. Called every dealer in Michigan, no one has an allocation. Not hopeful the car will be here this year. I tried a few larger cities within a day's trip and they seem reluctant for out-of-state buyers. Understandable.

I did the same in MI too- I think I got on a waitlist in April? Can’t remember now. But I got sick of waiting and contacted over 65 dealers in surrounding states before I found one with an allocation that would sell to an out of towner at MSRP. Tough to find but they’re out there.

Nice, I was just about to do the same thing, order an M440 as well to see which allocation came first. But the day I called I got an allocation for the M240

Some 23s have been built, but have yet to see any actually shipped.
