Same goes for trucks - I'd go as far as saying 90% of truck owners never use the bed for anything that will not fit in the backseat. My neighbor parks his truck in the street and plays golf all the time. Never once have I seen him use the bed, but pulls the clubs from the backseat. What a boring way to spend your time on the road.

Even worse, those who do that and then try to make them fast and cool. If you want a fast vehicle, get one that's aerodynamic and built for it aka a car. |

Last fun car for me
I was a motorcycle guy whole life. Had a few BMWs they were great. Gave up motorcycles and my nephew took me for a ride in his BMW car. Wow I didn’t know cars could do that. It was a M3. So I bought a M235 and another M240 convert then a X3m40 and decided I need another fun car. This M240 is it. Love it and I am 67.

76. Driven BMWs while living in Germany and here over the years. Let's see if I remember them - 2002 (Germany), 528e (Germany), Hartge M535 (Germany), 535 (US), two M3s (US), and my G42. The 240 is better than any of them.

25 and first personal BMW
I previously hated the idea of getting a BMW because my family’s old first gen X5 4.4L V8 that never came out of the shop. But I was willing to be more open minded about BMW becoming more reliable over the recent years with the B58. So took the leap. *Not that I really had a choice. M240i was the only car that really checked my boxes: luxury, european, compact, 2+2 seat with usable trunk space, 2-door coupe, under 55k before taxes+fees. Decent MPG for daily driven commute is a bonus |

32 and this is my 4th BMW. (9th car I've had)
I had an e60 525i, e46 325xi, f30 330i, and now the g42 m240i. Never owned an e92. The username came about before I got the 525i. Really wanted an e92, but I got an insane deal on the 525i from FL, then I was trying to trade up, but totaled the car before I could do it. One day I'll have a black e92 m3 manual with no nav. |

This must be the only forum where I can brag about being 77 years old. Will be 78 if I last a couple more months! This is my 6th BMW. The first one was a '68 1602 that I paid $600 for, and that was too much. Next was '81 e12 528i, then a '91 e30 325i-sport (same specs as the 2-door 325is), a parts-only '83 e30 318i, a '12 335i, and finally this '23 M240i x-drive.
I've driven at most of the tracks in the northeast, but never in a BMW. I don't think I will use this new one at any track because I'm getting rather old and this car is so nice. I also have a '16 Porsche 981 Spyder, that I just bought earlier this year. It has the extremely expensive carbon/ceramic brakes, so that kind of limits my track use, to say nothing about my age. If I feel okay when the 2024 track season comes around I may use the Porsche for one or two DE events. I'd love to go back to Watkins Glen with it, but that's over 400 miles each way. It's just fantastic hearing about all you younger guys' interest in these great cars! My best to each and every one of you! |

Just celebrated my 29 birthday for the 26th time. I have had 11 BMW’s over the years, with plans of some more. Forever young but wised

Turning 50 later this month. M240i is my first BMW coupe. Happy start of midlife crisis to me!
Family has had a few 5 series, X3, and X5 prior. Still have the X5 diesel. And had a tuned GTI before this M240i. GTI was a lot of fun but felt like I outgrew it. |
