I was watching some videos on the G80/82. Decat is loud (I personally would like it) but I am concerned about the smell, whereas high flow is like OEM+. Unfortunately the OPF really kills it. CEL is not gonna be a problem for me, since I’ll be remapping it once the run in is done 😀

All the G8Xs I am aware of here that have been modded/tuned use highflow cats. The highflow cat will not restrict the tuning that much. Just curious how you will be remapping. Here in the US of A, the only way to tune as of now is Femto (I am discounting piggybacks as tunes as they are not true tunes). There is talk of it being available without shipping it to Finland but no real evidence of it happening anytime soon. |

Yes I know, it is quite an issue for you in the States to get a remap. In Italy I have the same problem, since no one is able to unlock it. Luckily I have a 250 miles drive to Aulitzky Tuning in Germany, they are able to unlock it on site. They also provide you with a complete engine warranty for one year that you can extend every year (if you go to make the service at their place). |

I plan on Bronze M Performance wheels and then I will bring it home for paint correction and ceramic coating.
Then window tint by a local installer, and then enjoy it for a bit! |

Saw this on Instagram. Only running downpipes, e40 and a tune.

I was ecstatic to see this, and then started reading the fine print. I think it's kind of disingenuous to be be like "only running tune and downpipe!" when you're actually running 40% ethanol with mapping to support it.
This is a very borderline move for any amount of reliability. "Tune and downpipe" should be phrased as: "not running pump gas". And really, who could run their car like this? Very few. |
