Cutting the stock midpipe

Seems the standard chain exhaust pipe cutters max out at 3” diameter.
What is the diameter of the stock midpipe sections that need to be cut for, say, the AA single-mid?

I used the chain cutter a few years ago to replace the muffler on my X5.
It worked poorly in my opinion, when it gets near to finishing the cut only half the pipe separates and a wrestling match starts with the cutter and pipe, lol. I was just going to use a Sawzall if I had to do it again.

Should be 2.75. We have a bunch of customers using the chaint ype cutters on the g80 platform.

I used chain cutters for installing my AA single mid and it worked perfectly and much cleaner than when I have done exhaust cuts using a Sawzall on larger diameter diesel exhausts in the past.

Took my installer 30 minutes to put the AA single midpipe on my car, but he's a professional with a shop. I see you're in Colorado, so if you're in Denver and want a referral, feel free to DM me.

I used a rental chain type exhaust cutter from the local auto store with the exhaust on the car. Oiled up the cutting wheels and had no issues; nice clean cut.
