All cctv did for us was let us see how long it took to break in to get the keys and the exact time the turnips drove away in the motor.
Hoodies + facemasks meant there was nothing for the plod to use. Physical barrier is the best way, a bollard would be cheaper than gates. |

Personally I prefer the cameras to be visible and provide some deterrent, so I would go for mounting it on a post behind the fence at a height of about 3 metres. I’d also consider having more than one, to give a second angle and so that each camera is in the field of view of another camera.
I use mostly Eufy Solocam S40 which have an inbuilt solar panel to supply their own power. |
