Question *Resolved* CIC Retrofit Help

Hi,

I recently did a non-iDrive to CIC retrofit in my 2006 BMW 325i. Everything went well from the mechanical standpoint (screen, controller, etc. work as expected).

This main issue I have been trying to diagnose is no audio. My car is equipped with the logic 7 amp ($677). I have checked the all wiring (including the fiber optics loop) and all seems to be in order.

For the coding, I have done the following:
1. Added $6VA, $609, and changed production date to #0910 and performed FA_WRITE to CAS and FRM
2. SG_CODIEREN the CIC
3. Updated the amp using WINKFP (suggested in a separate forum post)
4. SG_CODIEREN the amp and CIC after updating using WINKFP.

Even after all these steps, there is still no audio. Are there any steps that I may have missed or can try to resolve this issue? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I did a complete retrofit CIC + individual audio.

However Ive used the FRM and CAS from the car donor, so no coding here (dont do this, I was swaping the engine DME and keys too)

And the no sound issue was related to the SOS module not connected under the steering panel.

If you are sure that wiring and coding is ok, try ISTA and "save MOST loop configuration". For example after CIC retrofit, and Combox I was getting a lot of errors on both modules, and that resolves my issues.

Have you tried to write a blank MAN file to the CIC?

Remove old audio code

Did you remove the code for the old system? Non-Idrive might have had $606 business audio or whatever you had from the factory, have to remove that and recode the CAS & FRM.

I tried to remove the original professional radio, however, still no sound. Honestly extremely lost on what else could be the issue.

*Update* I was able to solve this issue by using WinKFP to update the AMP one more time with SP-Daten V69 and it worked! Thank you everyone for your help!
