Those are 20"/21" wheels which is why they are so expensive. The 19"/20" wheels cost much less and have better ride quality. And like BMWGirlFL said, they cost a lot less without tires.

There are also deals to be had where they sell the wheels with tires for a reduced rate. I've seen BMW M wheels/tires sets with Michelin's sell for up to 40% off. Just have to be diligent. There are also group buys that come up. It's totally doable without killing your pocketbook. Wheels make a huge difference in the look of a car, they're worth every penny.

These are all the wheels that are available on the G80, already. The ones in the fuzzy picture may not be, but the rest of them are.

Right now the the Yokohama Advan V107s seen in the whole assembly, aren't available for sale separately. The Yokohamas are BMW star, 20/21 front and rear. Michelin only makes BMW star tires in the standard 19/20" size. Why are BMW star tired important? This video is worth it's weight in gold.

I really like the 1000M wheels but aren't they an inch bigger than the standard G87 wheels? I don't think I would want to go 20" and 21".

Please don't take this as criticism, because it definitely isn't. It's just very subjective and it isn't for me. I guess many can say the same of the black wheels that I like, right? Why black!?

Just glad they make wheels for all of us to drool over and pursue.

I agree I can't get into the gold wheels on pretty much any car. I tried to like them but just can't lol.. but we must be the minority with all the positive feedback.

but i noticed the patent was filed in march 2020. obviously there's time required to finalize other things than the wheel design, but i'd be curious to see when designs for, say, the m3/m4 825/826m were filed for patent, to compare with when the car was launched.

doubt these are wheels that they designed and filed for patent for the G8x m3/m4 since those cars came out late 2020, but i wonder if this is going to be some csl-esque m performance wheels to be released some time later, or if they were working on the G87 wheels back then and only needed to fine-tune the driving dynamics of it since it's mostly borrowed from the G8x m3/m4 mechanically.
