SIRIUSXM Streaming Failure

I have a 2022 230I that I took delivery of in early December 2021. Since that time there has been repeated failure of SiriusXM streaming channels - the channels that are received through cellular not satellite. I have had the car to the service center 3 times for this and each time they have 'reloaded the software', which works for a variable period, most recently only 1 1/2 weeks. Sometimes the issue self remedies after a week or 2.

Yes, I have hard reset the system, multiple times. I have updated the apps, multiple times.

Is anybody else having this problem?

I've had this problem and Spotify will also lag and go out (likely the cellular issue). Usually, only some SiriusXM channels will work when this happens and I've tried resetting but it won't fix it long term. I've noticed that I have one playlist in Spotify that no matter what will kill my connection for some reason.

The extra channels do drop out from time to time.

When they drop out, how long before they start working again?

They generally don't until I turn the car off and back on. Even then it may go back to laggy or drop out again. Then hours or the next day later it's 100% back to normal. Makes no sense to me other than maybe something no related to the car specifically.

My service advisor was suggesting that it was due to poor cell reception areas, but it happens in good cell areas. I think it is some hardware issue in whatever component receives cellular signals.

UPDATE

Had the car in the shop for the past week. Service center worked with BMW, who said the headliner should be removed to access and test the antenna and connection to RAM, which was also tested. End result was replacement of the antenna.

So far, so good.
