Wow inflation really reaming us lol

I'll also add there is 3% sales tax on cars in NC so that adds more with the car price higher. Also I did finance part of my OG M2 at 1.5% interest which would be more like 6% now.

8ZF is standard, 6MT is no-cost option in the USA.

Britain gets to pay £500 for 6MT. At least they're offering it there - they can't get it in the M3/M4.

Awesome. I thought manual was base config and auto was an optional charge. Yeah, Joe Achilles mentioned the UK charge for the manual, but at least it's available this time.

Are you saying we are only getting the lower trim headlights?

It is purely coding to modules. It has nothing to do with the headlight unit. It can currently be coded to work via a third-party.

So in that case the M2 was no longer affordable in 2020?

A 2023 G87 w/ ZF8 is only $400 more than a 2020 F87 M2c w/ DCT.

OG had 2nd best value to money. 1M is top. Wages have not kept up with inflation.

No.

FYI, the padding is thinner on the ventilated seats. Sit in them long enough you will notice it in comparison to nonventilated seats.

I'm not so sure carbon buckets aren't really an option in the US since the BMWUSA site specifically touts them as a premium feature. Will be interested to hear what my dealer has to say when I go in to make good on an allocation!

Well, my G80 with ventilated seats is already in production, so oh well.

That's what I said, if it's in bmw USA.com then it must be offered

This is like when M3 buyers complain how they can't order alcantara headliner or B&W sound system like the 5/7 series. "I'm spending $100k on a car!"

... but it's still a 3-series in the grand hierarchy. (And the M2 is a lowly 2-series.)
Is it? My X5 has merino. I don't think it's super unreasonable to want to be able to option merino on this thing. And you can with the Carbon Buckets so if that's possible just option it right

M-DCT was a 3 grand option as I recall. I guess some people chose the manual because it was free.

As noted above, the current ordering system does not show buckets as an option. We'll have to wait for them to update

There is fine print that says European Model shown. It would suck if the seats weren't available but maybe it will be a CS only thing here in the US. Hope I am wrong.

G87 is being shown publicly for first time in US tomorrow at 50th M anniversary event in SC. Lets see what seats car(s) have. I would find it hard to believe they show M2 with carbon buckets in US and then not offer them here.

There is a flaw in your theory as BMW NA has displayed European models within the U.S. often. If that is the actual case tomorrow I would not be surprised.

JHC they specifically said carbon buckets are coming to US on launch day. Just because the order system isn't updated doesn't mean they're not coming.

Isn't there a M2C coming? Maybe the carbon buckets are being saved for the Comp?

They wouldn’t loose money not selling carbon seats. I’m 100% certain they will be available for launch.

$650 for the paint is pointless especially when its base in the UK.

Exclamation

Someone’s well optioned VIR. They were also unable to spec it with the carbon buckets.
