This car is a regular TR G87 with 6mt and "carbon pack". It was then wrapped and outfitted with parts and brought to shows around the world.

How do I know? In video walk arounds of the car, someone opens the door and it shows a red chassis.

There's no Xdrive or "shipping blocks". Alluding to such items is particularly strange. The height you're referring to is just a camera angle and a canted wheel due to some steering lock.

The wings and aero don’t provide any downforce. Read the press materials if you don’t believe me.

The OEM forged wheels are simply too large, I think you are better off with a set of smaller diameter forged wheels. Again not sure there is any proven performance gain.

So in theory M Perf parts may sound good, but unless someone is willing to provide data, they are just for looks. And there is nothing wrong with that, as long as you go in with open eyes.
Lowering a car's center of gravity typically yields performance. I never claimed there was proof of someone lapping a track or skidpad or autocross course and taking average laptimes with and without the kit.

I explicitly stated there was no data on any aero performance. However, not providing downforce doesn't mean there isn't a benefit. Downforce is just one box of many to check. If there's a reduction of lift or drag or both anywhere, then there's a benefit. But again, no one will take it to a wind tunnel.

At the absolute least, those vertical fences will shape flow and produce a decent vortex to reduce the negative effects of tire squirt from the high pressure region in the wheel arch behind the wheel. I would bet good money there is a drag reduction in this area down the side skirt.

The OEM forged wheels are 9-10lbs lighter than the cast items that come on the car. Whether they are too big for you is not the point, the point is there is a benefit to using the forged option over the stock rollers.

Language on the rear spoiler seems to indicate downforce - by requiring the front load needs to be balanced via the splitter purchase. Probably not smart to get one at a time - it's a package.

"Expressive: The M Performance carbon rear spoiler reinforces the high-quality, sporty appearance of the vehicle. It ensures optimised aerodynamic values and even sportier handling.

Only in combination with M Performance front attachments carbon."

Hello!

No M Performance Parts, OEM Catalog, or accessories are released in our ETK system yet by BMW.

As well as prices, hoping to see these updated in the system once the cars are released from the port and distributed to customers.

A lot of parts and accessories share the same with the G80-83 M3/M4 models.

Here is the list of items that I do know that will be released for the new G87 at the moment:

-M Performance Antenna Cover

-M Performance Mirror Caps

-M Performance Exhaust System (Same style as G8x models)

-M Performance Steering Wheel

-19/20" M Light Alloy Jet Black Double-spoke Wheels, Style 930M

-M Performance Interior Matte Trims

-M Performance Seat Back in High-Gloss Carbon Fiber/Alcantara

-M Performance Seat Back in Matte-Gloss Carbon Fiber/Alcantara

-M Performance Carbon Fiber Front Lip

-M Performance Armrest

-M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler

-M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler Wing

-M Performance Carbon Fiber Door Sills

-M Performance Carbon Fiber Front Air Inlets

-M Performance Decal Film

-M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Winglets

-M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Wheel Fins

-M Performance High-Gloss Black Rear Window Spoiler

-M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Reflector/Bumper Trims

-M Performance 963m Wheel & Tire Sets (All Colors)

-M Performance 1000M Wheel & Tire Sets (All Colors)

-BMW CSL Strut Brace is compatible

-M Performance Suspension Kit

List to continue....

M Performance Official Debut thread here: https://g42.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1965177

Aero: "The carbon-fibre add-on parts for the front, sides and rear are made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic. They optimise the car’s aerodynamic properties while also accentuating its racing aura with a clear coat finish that exposes the composition of fibres beneath. The M Performance front splitter carbon fibre and M Performance air intake trim carbon fibre, for instance, ensure the new BMW M2 makes a particularly striking impression. Customers wishing to give the car’s side profile a sharper visual edge have a choice of M Performance side skirt attachments carbon fibre, M Performance side spats carbon fibre front and rear and M exterior mirror caps carbon fibre. Airflow around the vehicle can be optimised with the M Performance rear lip spoiler carbon fibre and M Performance rear diffuser carbon fibre. Meanwhile, the M Performance rear spoiler carbon fibre and M Performance roof-edge spoiler in high-gloss Black dial the racing flair up to the max. Further personal touches can be added to the vehicle exterior in the form of an M Performance tow strap and an M Performance antenna cover in aramid, another exclusive fibre composite material."

These things produce sporty auras guys. A better match for the car's inner chi.

Suspension: "The M Performance suspension available as a retrofit item for the new BMW M2 endows it with even sharper agility and cornering dynamics. Its coilover design with height-adjustable spring cups at the front and rear axle allows the ride height to be lowered by up to 10 millimetres as required. Specially tuned for the new BMW M2, not just on the track but on regular roads as well, the M Performance suspension results in a far more direct connection between the body and road surface. This allows drivers to experience track-inspired driving dynamics on everyday journeys."

10mm is less than half an inch. I'm not bashing the product, it will probably do exactly what is described above, and definitely add to the appearance. Just don't expect to show up at a track and kill all the Porsches and Corvettes with it.

I'm not telling anyone how to spend their money. Just know what you buy.

BMW I believe states that greater than 10mil drop hurts ride quality. I believe the kit is actually adjustable from 5-20 but they don't recommend going further for that reason.

May be too early as well, but is the cockpit display showing up as an available part yet?

Hello,

BMW has not listed any OEM Catalog parts as well in our system yet, but assuming it will be the same from the G8x models.

Also if looking to retrofit in the F87 M2 models series, it will not be compatible.

The steering wheel is a lock for me. It's like $1300 with the dry carbon trim. My HEA unit has black trim so I need to go full dry carbon now.
