Exotic > true sports car > GT

Just my humble uneducated opinion. Please feel free to bash.
Don’t 911s have “back seats” in quotes for a reason lol

Was waiting for someone to point out the 911. Took longer than expected.

Exceptions confirm rules. That is why although some humans have less than 2 legs, we still teach they have 2 legs.

Arguing/debating by pointing out exceptions and or precise definition is not a good strategy.

The last true sports car BMW made was the Z4M. Thread closed.

Meh, gatekeeping. Not a fan.

Silly labels are pointless... because Miatas are more of a sports car than Porsches, sure that checks out. :eyeroll:

What's the point, why bother? Such definitions help no one, enlighten no one.

The sports car argument can get beyond obtuse. Compare the performance numbers of the new Prius to say a 70s Porsche. Objectively, the new Prius performs better. Is it a sports car?

I’m not arguing the exception. I’m just pointing out that it is definitely doable and that there is precedence for it.

The 911 is the gold standard of the sports car (excluding exotics) would you agree? Then you also have the Toyota 86 which is heralded as the best affordable sports car. That also has rear seats.

Bmw isn’t going to make a two seater variant of the M2. Just wish it lost some weight so that it could be more of sports car. It could be the exact same car less 500 pounds and it would be fantastic since it already is.

Also think the difference in GT and sports car is about Performance and characteristics of a car. Like an AMG SL and GT, lexus rc/lf would be considered GT cars. They’re boats that are heavy lol
