Between Bridgeport, Darien and Ridgefield dealers in CT, does anyone have an opinion as to which service dept is better, more mod friendly, easier to schedule, etc?

Will be my first M car - Darien is closest dealer, Bridgeport in a close second, Ridgefield a bit of a drive.

BGM, Manual, Carbon Trim, Bicolor Wheels, Shadowline Package

Order: 7/29 (Build Week 35)
Allocation: 7/29
Scheduled for Production: 8/25
Production Begins: 9/4
Production Date: Tentatively 9/15
Location: Springfield, NJ

CA reached out to my yesterday to let me know I was in production, but she also noted that I probably already knew that lol. She’s been pretty awesome. She originally said late September/early October, but suggested October delivery for sure now.

If you took delivery just over a month from your production date that would be pretty dang quick. Would be awesome if she were correct though.

I hope so too. Looks like things are moving along. My car entered the assembly line today and the production date moved up to 9/14.

I prefer ridgefield. They also tuned my f80 m3.

Looks like my estimated production date got pushed back 1 day to 9/21.

So far my expectations are super low so not worried about it!

this is my first BMW so not my experience but...

close friend used to work at bpt. they had nothing but bad things to say about essentially every aspect of the dealer. also know someone who bought a very poorly modified car from them which ended up being a disaster (not necessarily the dealers fault).

i chose ridgefield over darien because 1) great backroad drive to get there, and its off the 95 corridor for traffic which is now omnipresent 2) they had the allocations and 3) i shop at the WF from time to time that overlooks the service area at darien and they pack them in like sardines over there. it get so crowded on that lot that some of the employees park in the WF lot. really dont feel like arguing with a service manager over whether or not that door ding was there before i came in for an oil change.

23 G87
Toronto Red
Tri color interior
All black wheels, Blue calipers
Moonroof
Auto
Lightening package
Shawdow line package
Live cockpit pro
Carbon fiber trim
Remote engine start

10/26/22 - placed my deposit with my local CT dealer (7th on list)
End of June 23 got my allocation
7/5 - production begins
7/15 - final assembly (spent a lot of time in final assembly, drove me nuts)
8/25- ready for transport
9/14- at port, in transit all on one day (I suspect the tacking was delayed, ended up on Glovis Solomon vessel)

Almost a year wait, car should be at the dealer by the end of this month !

Great input. Thanks. Ridgefield is definitely the farthest from me. But if they alway have loaner vehicles, it is a super nice drive for me on the back roads.

That was super fast from the time of allocation. I’m seven weeks from allocation and still not into production. Winter is coming :~(

I don’t think he’d have a VIN until it actually went into production

Our online tracker updates have been similar here lately and share the same build week (40) so he "should" have seen an update unless his build week has changed.

Been in Final Assembly myself since 9/15. From what I've seen it's typically 1-4 weeks in Final Assembly before being Ready For Transport. My CA says it should be delivered in October based upon their previous experience. I've thought of reaching out to a Genius to see if I can get any indication of when my car will be headed to port, but it seems like they don't know much more than the website.

My CA told me the same… October deliver but I’m not holding my breath. I do however, check the website multiple times a day lol
