What's up everybody!

I haven't really been keeping tabs on my build, but I am going to start now. I do know that it is RFT. I put a deposit down in April of 2023 and was told 18-24 month wait. Received allocation around mid October. Waiting patiently.

If you are RFT right now then more than likely your car is ready to be loaded on a ship and just waiting for an assignment. im about to call them in about an hour to see if theres an update on mine

Just got off the phone with BMW yet again no update.. She stated the cars can sit for 6-8 weeks right now in RFT... 11 months just to order the damn car... im quite sick of this

Hate to say it, but that kinda works in my favor. I have a lease that’s up in June. The closer I get to June the less I have to pay on a car I won’t be driving. Don’t get me wrong tho, I can’t wait for my M2 to arrive.

Anybody else do a little more research over the weekend?

Anyways, the Sebring is scheduled to be arriving to Veracruz tomorrow (Nov 21st), and then it will make a stop at Altamira on the 24th. It may be the one. Let me know if you guys are looking at other possible ships.

We’re getting closer!

Edit: The only thing that worries me about the Sebring is that I can’t find it on the Brunswick 15 day outlook. I think it has to stop in Brunswick if its carrying BMWs.

You can also look into Patriot But so far from BMW when i called cars that are week 43-44 could still be sitting for another 6 weeks before being assigned to a ship.. so at least thats what i was told from BMW genius today when I called

The online portal says A carrier has been assigned to take care of your BMW.

Does it mean a vessel is assigned?

YES! this means you more than likely have a ship assigned to you and have a port of exit! congrats!!!!

No, Carrier assignment is to go from the factory to the port. There is no status for vessel assignment. Look at the different steps. It's prior to at the port.

I have no idea why Mexico's plant and downstream skip so many statuses, but here we are. Just like how everyone thinks RFT means at the port waiting. (Granted yea for some reason they just aren't updating statuses, but no, RFT does NOT mean at the port waiting technically)

Nothing to be confused about. His car is taking the steps as they should be, and is finally being moved to port of exit. Carrier = train to port, not boat.

im just going off from what bmw genius has told me the countless times i have called. RFT 11/06. left factory to go to factory warehouse and will update once assigned a ship. so yea LOTS to be confused about on my end..

Build week 45
RFT since 11/6 just like many other here. What my rep told me is that the M2 is waiting for a ship and it will be here in December. I'd be a happy man if it makes it to the dealership by Christmas.

9/29 Placed Order for a 2024 330i M Sport Brooklyn Grey fully specd out.

Went RFT on 10/27 and missed the boat that everyone is so excited about and I am happy for everyone that will be getting their cars soon. Just wish I knew when the next boat will be picking up the next batch of cars in Mexico.

Definitely in the phase of this thing where it’s like COMEON ALREADY!!!

On 11/13 I broke down and finally called the Genius line and was told the car left the factory Warehouse.

Last Friday 11/17 I called again and they said I have not been assigned to a vessel yet, nor do they know if I am at the port yet.

Based on the timeline I have to assume I am at a port in Mexico awaiting the next ship.

Finally picked up by Glovis Sunrise and arrived this past weekend to Baltimore.
My advisor found out work order for MHAS started today!
Car should arrive end of week for pickup next week!

Build week 43, RFT on Halloween (10/31).

It isn’t looking too good according to Brunswick 15-day outlook. Still learning to dig into this ship tracking stuff but it seems there are a ton of ships making the path to Brunswick going into late Dec, early Jan. CA told me early Jan. would be a more realistic timeframe for delivery and I’m thinking she knows something we don’t after seeing the schedules lol. Hopefully she’s wrong

Yeah it’s pretty stress-full RFT 11/1 here with a deposit on 10/4 can only imagine some of you waiting multiple months.

Which is funny that I’m getting super anxious when my CA originally told me 60-90 days lol wooosaaa

Yea its been a pain.. then i found out i could have had my allocation way sooner if i just went to another dealership. Hopefully something changes for the better
