We are! You just have to realize you’re friends with stupid! I didn’t understand what you meant.

Were you being sarcastic and making a joke about the name being just translated? Lol

My G87 build spec, honestly I'm surprised it's tipping over the 100k mark after taxes and fees. But that being said, I consider this a very decent price given it's a well-loaded spec and still costs less than the barebones/base G80 M3.

Nice! Do you know if the MAMM (Black Vernasca Leather w/ M Highlight) has a cost? My sales rep did not have pricing on the options.

All 3 Vernasca leather interior options are at no cost here, only the full Merino leather buckets which are part of the M Carbon Package ($13k).

Not quite. No dealers have allocations yet, this is simply my placeholder with my dealership. I've been told I'm 3rd in line here so whenever BMW does their rounds of collecting the orders to push into production, that's when allocation will be confirmed. If I'm not mistaken this is either happening in December or early 2023.

According to my sales rep, these initial/early placeholder "orders" are for BMW corporate to gauge the interest from the market to make adequate plans for allocations & production.

I am first w/ my rep, not sure at the dealer level. Had to strongarm them to not apply any markup. No deposit yet (they didn't want one as of now). I have other "feelers" with other dealers. The other dealer in my city also sticks to MSRP but they have 2 mandatory add-ons for $1,100 total. Total turn off but will keep them in my back pocket.

Luckily my dealer has promised no markup. I had to leave a $1000 deposit with them for the time being to secure my spot, and I've been told they might request an additional $1000-$2000 deposit when my allocation is confirmed and order is formally put in. The deposits go toward the car so it doesn't bother me whatsoever.

As far as I know the only dealer fee I'm paying is the $599 admin fee - this dealership takes care of loyal customers so I'm ok with this and didn't care to fight it.

Good for you! My loyalty has worn off. I did get 4 BMWs since 2002 with my last and current awesome going strong custom colour 2008 E90 335i 6sp. It has been a while. I am starting fresh in a different province. My other 4 were done several provinces east of me.

The 100k tax is 20% of the value over 100k before taxes so the M2 is not affected by this even with all options.

I would not a consider on client in the list without a deposit. The waitlist is marked by sold date that the deposit was taken. $1000 minimum.

I would not say those words to my client nor has my manager ever told that to me. From what i understand BMW provides allocations passed on the previous years sold cars. All M2 orders are built in the system and saved. as BMW releases allocations to us my ordering manager amends them to the spec of the person with the oldest deposit. If no customers are waiting to order a vehicle my manager orders the car to a spec of his choosing. Also, BMW will release HEA specs that are pre built to certain spec. The dealership will find out the details about 2-3 before they arrive. They will be a free for all to the first client advisor who gets their customer to say yes to that spec. Waitlist or not. I recommend having a good CA who will see the HEA drop and tell you before other CAs can do the same. I would offer the HEA first to my waitlist customers before reaching out to other prospects.

How did you manage to get the carbon fibre trim for $1000? The order guide says $1500.

We probably wont see any amendable allocations until Jan- Feb production. Whatever we get is already set to go to people on the wait list. HEA specs will probably be released in March.

$115,131.63 for Fully Loaded M2 in Canada

I priced it out and a fully loaded M2 with the dealer fees and taxes comes out at $115,131.63 in Canada. Don't forget your licensing fee is extra too.

Just wait for the inevitable crash that will be coming and normalize this crazy car market. Great time to buy under MSRP
