Now that I see it, it looks like my 'application' hasn't been approved yet by the administrators...it must have been 4 months now! Art- Do you know any of the mods/admins there?

I'll see what I can find out and report back. I know Imola sponsors it, but will find out more, and hopefully figure out why applications are not being processed.

Kevin Tan (from Imola) is an admin. He says www.mnbmw.com applications are now up to date. The thing is if you log in, you wont see a whole lot of anything 'cause its awfully quiet there. OTOH, if enough of us just started using it, it could become pretty useful. Anyway, not trying to hijack or derail this thread, just letting everyone know its there as an alternative.....

Checked out the site and I like it! The one comfort factor about E90post is that our current chat thread is an general, "free for all topics" environment.
I am confused as to where I would post my random musings. |

This is the post I placed over on mnbmw.com: So I have been an active member of www.MNaudi.com since 2004. It's an awesome online community, really. Despite being Audiless for some time now, I still frequent the site. I am hoping we can get more activity here. It's not like there arent plenty of passionate BMW owners in Minnesota, right? I noticed a 134+ page "Minnesota chat thread" over on e90.com, I also know there is plenty of action in the e46fanatics and bimmerforums Great Lakes regional subforums. Obviously those sites are national and have their merits, but when it comes time to get local help (e.g., which service advisor @ motorwerks is 'mod friendly', does anyone have a peake tool i can borrow, anyone want to buy an M50 manifold, etc) or want to plan a meet, a dedicated local forum is ideal. We have an untapped opportunity in this site. Please stay a while and post here! B ookmark the "Show unread posts since last visit." in the upper right hand site of the home page to instantly get up to speed when you return here. Ok, done cheerleading for now. Art

Happy New Year to all. Had a good time at Pinstripes, we should definately do that again sometime but go earlier to get some bowling in. Food was great too.
I went to register for MNBMW.com not realizing that i already registered when I bought the BMW, lol. I went on there and saw how dead it was and never went back. That was before I found E90post. I'd be happy to move the conversation over there. Just let me know. |

Happy New Year everyone! What have you guys been doing to the roads while I've been gone?? I think I lost at least 2 fillings in some of the monstrous potholes downtown this evening!
With regard to MNBMW, I've been a member on there for well over a year and like others have said, it's unfortunately a ghost town. I do check in from time to time and there have been some attempts to get it going, but nothing has worked so far! A local bimmer forum would be awesome, so I'm all in favor of trying to get it up and running. We will need an iPhone app though |

The benefit of the mnbmw forum is finding and communicating with a much larger local group. There are hundreds of BMW people on e46fanatics, eurowerks, ricekiller, etc...as well as the other local Audi guys on mnaudi. So I guess the benefit has more to do with having a larger and broader group, as opposed to a smaller, more specific group. |
