Going to look at an M3 this week...
So I have resisted looking at/driving the new M3. I avoided it like the plague at the last driving school. I know it will seduce me if I spend any time at all with one.
I have owned every generation M3: 2 E30's 2 E36's and an E46 and still have a very nice example E30. So the pull of the M-badge is in my blood. Yet, I have been exceedingly happy with my 335i. I really like the blend of power, handling, ride, looks, comfort and economy. It is the perfect road car. It is a little weak on the track in stock form compared to my E46 M3, but I have been mixed up the track driving the last couple of years with my E30M3 on the track and between the two, they are very satisfying and rewarding. Nonetheless, the local dealer is having a wine and food event this week and are featuring a showing of the new 7 series. I couldn't give a krap about the 7, but I called my CA and said, "yah, I like wine, can you show me an M3 if I come?" I hope I don't drink too much...

Don't do it! Resist temptation! Tell yourself, "i will not buy an M3, I will not buy an M3!" I did it once waiting for them to change the oil in my 335i. Road tested a new 2009 AW M3 convertible with every option available. Took it out on the highway and hit the M-Drive button. Next thing I knew, I was filling out paperwork for a trade but luckly the old lady called and I had to pick her up. Never went back to finish the paperwork. I'm still trying to resist my temptation. I love the 335i around town but get that M3 on the highway and a good strecth of mountain twisties, then you will fall in love all over again. Good luck!

LOL!!! I also went in for an oil change with my E90 325i and while waiting started talking to a sales guy there and next thing you know i was trading my 325i in for a brand spanking new 335i...same thing could easily happen with the new M3 so I decided to mod this 335 through the roof so I wouldn't even go for an oil change to the dealer ahhaha zero temptation
