Vaico is a German company that specializes in replacement transmission parts, according to their website. The parent company, Vierol AG, is an OEM supplier of other automotive companies. You'll be good with this brand.

ZF Brand
I went with the ZF branded pan kit and ZF ATF. These are actual OEM parts for our ZF transmissions. It was about $230 in parts/fluid when all said and done.
Here are the part numbers I used: 24152333907 - ZF Oil Pan and Filter Kit 83222220445 - ZF Lifeguard Fluid 6 (bought 6 qts, used a little over 5) Changed everything in July and been running great since. Hope this helps, good luck! |

I used the ZF branded transmission filter since ZF is the manufacturer for the transmission but I went with Motorcraft Mercon SP for the oil. It's basically the same thing as the expensive unicorn ZF Lifeguard oil. I replaced mine when I hit 60k and the car is now almost at 80k with no problems. Save yourself some money and Use Mercon SP oil. There's a complete discussion about it here.
