I never tested the E content but I'm guessing its between E15-20. My advice would be get a JB4 over the JB+. The ability to log runs and have extra gauges would be worth it in my mind. It also give you more control over the car with an EWG adapter.

But yes, the set up you mention should work just fine, id just prefer the extra data and customization.
