Very interesting. When did you enter quality control?
I would say it's been like 5-6 days

Dang, you ended up getting more info that I was able to. I called again, only to get the same info and to be reassured that all dates provided were only estimates.

My car has been stuck in "scheduled for production" for 6-7 weeks.

Found another car at a dealer 120 miles away that's already at the port in Galveston, TX. Will probably lose my $1000 deposit but should have a car much sooner.

Latest update on my car, I talked to the Genius' yesterday and when pressed they finally told me my car is being held due to an open invoice, but couldn't;t tell e why. I talked to my CA and pressed him a bit too and within 2 hours had a response from their BMW rep. The grille had minor damage and they are waiting on parts to replace it before it can ship. Well, that's a bummer, but if it's only a grille then no big deal. What annoys me is its been there since 11/9, and the invoice was opened on 11/16 which tells me it was damaged in port and has been waiting for parts for almost 10 days, how long will it really take to get parts, fix it and ship it here? I was supposed to have it by the 20th, it might be December 20th now.

What "Status" are you in? I wonder if I'm in the same situation as you. The lack of candor I'm receiving is unnerving.

My car went back to "At the Port" when it arrived in GA, and is still in the same status.

The most likely explanation isn’t a lack of candor, it’s that they legitimately don’t have any more information. FWIW mine sat in quality check for a month and neither the genius nor the dealer had any information to give. Everything was fine and my car will be at the dealer next week.

The vehicle tracker is both a blessing and a curse 😩.
I've been stuck at "assembly in progress " for several weeks now.
Both the Genius hotline and my CA (what does that stand for again?), are unable to shed further light on the delivery timeframe.
I don't think they are being deliberately opaque, but it certainly is frustrating.
One of the things getting me through this weird, expectant father like situation, is this forum!😆
I guess my car may be a Sagittarius like myself!

Damn... I'm sorry to hear that man, hopefully they are able to get it fixed sooner rather than later. Sending good vibes your way.

Soooo still two more weeks wait at least. Why so hard to transfer cars from Mexico to Texas. It is literally 14 hrs drive from Austin to the factory.
Assuming the cars arrive to Galveston on time (Nov. 30th) how long do you think it'll take for them to get them on a truck and sent over to Austin? I'm hoping that at the soonest It'd be by the end of this coming week.

I don't know if it is on the boat really yet.

It needs to go through VPC first then to Houston (where my dealer is at)

No ship assigned."

yup, same here. They told me the last update they had was that the car was going to the port on the 24th. We'll see if the TONGALA ship pulls through.

It's super frustrating that no one from BMW can tell us what really is going on or even an ETA.

The only thing I can think of this delay is that they might still be compiling the cars shipping to TX.

I've been checking the dealers within 300 miles from my zip to see if they got any M240i but nobody got them.

I refuse to believe we don't have enough cars going to south of the unites states. Also if there were cars going to east coast, they definitely can make the stop as well

I'm trying to be patient but it's so hard lol. I wonder what port the cars will actually end up in. I don't think we're gonna get an update on the tracker until tuesday or wednesday. I was hopeful that the cars would get to galveston by Thursday but im not so sure anymore.

If I have to guess.
A day or two to get to that port.
Then if lucky within a day they know which vessel.
Then if lucky a day or two for unloading and loading on the vessel.

Have you had any luck tracking the ship you mentioned? (TONGALA)? It's no longer showing up for me.

It went offline a few days ago, so I checked it on www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com this morning and there seems to be a delay.
ETA to Veracruz is now Nov 30th.

They should be loading the cars on the ship today or tomorrow, based on the information we have. I think the ship (that we're assuming is going to transport the texas deliveries) just got to the port, it's just a matter of them updating the tracking info. I think we're gonna get an update that takes us from "Ready to Transport" to "In Transit".
