New Build/Order Progress (M240i)

Mine is in transit to the dealership. Carbon parts installed. We have no power here at my store so I don’t have tracking on the truck but I’m guessing I will see it here beginning of next week 😏

Congrats! That's awesome! Mines still sitting at the port and has no scheduled pickup, SA says "maybe an update Monday" 😑

On the BMW production tracker, I have been at production begins since 10/7.

Call the Genius #, but they would not give me info because I am leasing and not the owner (?).

Called my SA who told me build week 41 with an estimated completion date of 11/4.

Any other build week 41's out there with additional info? Delivery to Long Island, NY.

Did you order lumbar support. When ordering lumbar, bmwusa site makes you order leather. What Im looking at is what the seat looks like for lumbar and non-lumbar

I hope the seats are the same, not ordering lumbar support allows me to order sensatec instead of leather

Also if both give one the piece under your knee you can pull out just a little so you can have support under you knee

The 2-series is being manufactured at the bmw plant in Mexico, anyone heard any different, Im going to order (after I see what the M2 front end looks like

So… I was pretty much told I won't be seeing my M240i until the Embargo on 11/16. The idea of waiting for another 3 weeks… sucks! 🤬

This is true. Our first for sale unit is at the port just waiting I hope it makes it to the sales floor so I can take a couple of pictures of it, instead of being sold and going straight to the customer.

As a follow up, I've been checking the online ship tracker sites. Today (Nov 1) is the first day since Oct 27 (when GLOVIS SPIRIT arrived at Altamira anchorage), that it pulled up dockside to be loaded up with our cars. I suspect she'll be underway tomorrow or Wednesday on her way to the USofA.

I heard of the "embargo" until the 16th. My car's not scheduled to arrive in port (Baltimore) until Nov 12, so that may be moot for me. Sorry to hear that for you guys whose cars are already in country. Almost there!!

Just found out mine has been at the Port Hueneme dock and is headed towards the processing center in Oxnard soon. Literally 2 hours away from me here in California, lol.

Seriously, its almost a curse to have this app to track things. I login literally 4x per day looking for updates as if its going to bring the car faster. Agreed these are "Cadillac" problems and a good indicator of a basic "life's good" threshold. I suspect the market will crap itself soon, and supply of food and gas may be a real problem, but for now, I'm sweating my car coming!

My car finally is in Transit from Brunswick! Just a quick 300 miles! Even if I can't collect it before the 16th, at least I can go check it out at the dealer… hopefully.
