N47 F31 2013 boost leak?

Hello guys

Did any of you experience a boost leak

My car is stage 1 mapped and XHP but it doesn’t want to push more than 200hp and 400nm. I was hoping it would be a boost leak rather than a turbo. What do you think? Any weak points in the boost system or just an old turbo. Car has done 269.000 km

It should make 1,9 bar boost but it won’t do more than 1,6 bar. It makes 1,9 between 1000 and 2000rpm but above that is not more than 1,6 - 1,7

Hey,

I have the same car, it was tuned few months ago. Currently it’s pushing 220Hp and 430Nm. I’m not an expert in these tunes but I’m pretty sure that is more boost than it should be. That 1,6 bar should be the optimal. If you really insist going 1,9 then check your whole turbo system, mainly the turbo pipe. It might have a leak.

Take care.

If you think it's boost leak, then check plumbing frist. Also HP figures varies dyno to dyno.
How do you feel about the XHP comparison to the factory map?

HP was on the same dyno. 210hp 2 months ago and 200hp 1 Month ago

Xhp is really great. I Got a stage 2 xHP and in comfort little to no difference. But in sport it’s really fast and nearly instant shifts. I would say it feels close to DSG

1.9 bar sounds high. It maybe cannot sustain that at the higher revs. Same issue with gasoline turbo engines. They can't hold the same pressure to the redline unless the turbo is massive.

Check for oil sweating around the boost pipe connections and replace the O rings if there is oil. Replace them anyway for maintenance as they are cheap.

Did you set torque limits in XHP? In my 30d, I set all gears to 600nm, which removed some flat spots of the factory 8HP tune. Some of the gears are torque limited by BMW, 3rd and 6th I think.

XHP Stage 3 is too jerky in traffic. Stage 2 is the sweet spot.
