Why are you all obsessed with the F87 versus the G42? Did someone with a G42 run over your dog?
This is an M240i not an M2, its replacement is the M240i F22 not the M2 F87, it ran almost 3 seconds faster than its predecessor and has already done its job, any comparison to M2 is pointless. The G87 will be much much faster than the F87 as is normal and as did the G8x compared to the F8x. |

Agree. I just came back from really hustling this car; I don’t know what more one can reasonably expect from an M240i. It overdelivers. It is way better than it should be, and maybe that’s why it’s constantly compared to the M2C (not the OG M2; it trounces that one, IMO). Fast, grippy, responsive. It even sounds great (surprised me how nice it is with the windows down). This B58 variant with the ZF8 bolted to this chassis with xDrive for this price is the enthusiast car deal of the moment.

In reality, in my mind I was mainly observing that the "new" RS3 is not even able to match the pace of the "old" M2 on track...

You don't expect the M240i to be so fast, and instead... |

Thanks for sharing this. As you say, some things just never change. Using the e-brake sure helps in the turn in as shown in the video. They make a damn fine rally car though. Come to think about it, when I was heavily involved in the HPDE scene, I did not see many people tracking Audi's.
