Hey everyone, got my car about 1 month now, it's a 24 M240. when i got it i noticed a vibration in the wheel and took it back the next week to the dealer, they said the Pirelli's were out of round and actually changed out all 4 for new ones, they balanced out perfect on the machine but i still notice a slight vibration with these tires. Is it due to these tires are summer tires and it's cold? has anyone had these issues with the PZero's?

Does the vibration go away after you drive several miles, if so they are just flat spotted from sitting several hours. Very common on summer tires.

Still there even after driving several miles some roads are smoother than other but when i had the PS4 on my F22 never had an issue. I notice in the tpms says its need to be at 42 in the front and 41 in the rear. right now the tires are around 37.

I have a '24 on Pirelli P Zeros non run flat and haven't noticed a vibration.

When does this vibration occur, what speed?

so i noticed on the app and in the idrive 8 my tire pressure said it was 38, i went to check with my tire gauge and all the wheels were at 31. since these are summer tires i filled the fronts to 40 and the rear to 42 and will take a spin with it on the highway to see how it goes. i assume the 10lbs difference may be the cause of the slight shimmy. will report back in a few

so i filled the front tires to 40 and the rear 42 and the shimmy is gone. i haven't had summer tires on a car for 20 years and i guess i forgot in the winter it will need a bit more air. very weird why the app read the wrong pressure when it was 10lbs off.

When you got new shoes did you calibrate the tires? Being 10 psi low seems the tires flat spotted while parked. Many years ago Pirellis were bad about this. I would not worry about this especially if it goes away after driving. If not re balance tires. A balance issue you get a shimmy at about 55-60 mph. Hope this helps.

Low tire pressure doesn’t directly produce a vibration/shimmy. However, setting them 10 psi too low and leaving them sitting over night or for even longer periods, definitely could result in temporary flat spotted tires. Flat spotted tires resolve themselves after 15-20 min of driving, depending on severe the flat spotting is. Raising cold tire pressures should address the flat spotting and/or shimmy feeling.

yeah was a really weird issue, got a long drive tomorrow will set the system to calibrate again, i assume the tech who put the tires on didn't do that.
