What makes you think we don't know about racing history? Just because it was on popular race cars doesn't mean it automatically looks good on a street car or that we have to like it.

Just because silver was a popular racing color doesn't mean my knees go weak every time I see a silver car.

The BMW fans are a very fickle bunch to.
That's the most valuable important thing I've ever read the entire time I've been on this forum.

Great to see some non-smartphone (ie distorted) photos!! This looks fantastic thank you. Just praying for a manual M2 CS to be available in a few years

You probably have to have more aggressive lines like a GT3 RS or a Ford GT40 to better pull that color off. I think the GT40 does it well with theirs (Arcadian blue?). Reminiscent of the original 60's 2 tone light blue with orange.

it's incredible to me that this colour is able to achieve being creepy, pretentious, and soft at the same time! Quite an achievement really.

lol why are people so concerned with a color they don't have to opt for?

Get a different color and call it a day. Let someone who likes this blue opt for it. There's no need to bash colors or refer to them as unmanly by claiming that only a woman with dog could pull it off.

I've been hearing keyboard warriors bash pink for ages and I've also seen pink shirts worn by navy seals and some of the most masculine dudes around.

Poochie believes it is probably a typo. It possibly could be or it is an accidental leak of things to come?

Or this "technically" is the comp? I don't see how they would miss that very key typo lol

Running around 460 HP already if they made a "comp" it would be pushing near M3/ M4 specs which would make no sense?

Conspiracy theories commence haha

What happens 20 sec after the cold start?

Agree. What happens about 20 sec after the cold start, assume the drop in revs is related to heating the cats but the volume also drops considerably. Is the volume drop due to turbo wastegates closing?

Thanks.

It's also interesting how this one had the carbon bucket seats while we're all being told that they won't be available for us.

I dont know why BMW continues to use this blue as the signature color for the new M2 despite such bad reviews. It looks like an undercoat putty color your prime the car with before its painted !!! The Isle of Man Green for the M3/M4 was stunning and made the car look better. This blue is ugly and brings out the worst in the car. Time to switch the color to either Red or Black. It would be prudent to skip seeing this hideous color and switch to the ones that make the car look good and attract more customers. Someone in the BMW design factory is color blind

Yes. Of course. I know nothing about racing heritage. What a rediculous statement.

A LeMans Ford GT40 is so far removed from this M2 in baby blue that it’s a completely irrelevant comparison. One is a very low slung race car, with decals and contrasting orange stripes and drop dead gorgeous styling.

The other is a new 2 series with very little in the way of details except for plain panels, which is boxy and upright and in this colour it does indeed look bad.
