Age of G87 Buyers

I was just in the 992 Porsche forum (Rennlist) and there was a post asking about how old the owners are for the 911s and noticed many of them were in their mid 50s or older. One poster also mentioned that the average salary of a 911 owner was over $300k...Whoa.

So it got me thinking...how old are the prospective G87 buyers.

I am 46.

I'm 26 and make roughly 100-120k a year depending on OT I decide to take on. This car is scheduled to be available around my birthday next year. Eagerly looking forward to it.

When I saw the average income of a 911 owner it made me second guess myself as to whether I should even consider getting a CPO 911 or Cayman. My wife and I keep our expenses low and make a good combined salary but nothing even close to $300k. Regardless I think regardless of the car I end up getting, it will put a bugger smile on my face than my current one.

euh, just checked the conversion from $ to £ and gee, i must be the poorest paid person. no wonder i skip food, clothes...etc for me just to own the M2C literally not more than 50k$ a year and i can manage alright. Porsches have never been my thing, only M and i blame dad for this craziness.

This is 100000% true. Or as the kids say, 100.
I live in Western WA, the cost of living here far exceeds places like Kansan (I was there last year and was blown away at house prices for instance. You can get a decent house for $200K, here you would literally have to add a million to that for the same house in a good location).

I'm 38 and between my wife and I we're well north of $400k but living in Boston means that have a pretty small house and the only fancy thing we own is my BMW.

I think I could probably afford a 911 but a GTS is out of reach which is what I really want. An M2C with a 6 speed is probably what I'll end up with as a long term ride.

What i found and love about it all is that, no matter the age range. The one thing in common is the passion for the M car(s). People moan about this and that, should have this and that...etc but it's all part of that passion and it's pretty awesome
