$374k V $132k
Had a look at the Australian Porsche configurator this morning and optioned up a 911T to as closely match my Brooklyn grey G87. The closest hue Porsche has to Brooklyn grey was a paint to sample named `sport classic' at $20,340, the carbon fibre roof $7,470, the list goes on. My point is what amazing value for money the G87 is at $132,700 compared to the 911 Carrera T at $374,000...subjectively the 911 isn't $242,000 better than the amazing G87. For the record I have had three factory orders with Porsche and I can assure you there will not be a fourth at the prices they are now demanding when cars like the G87 exist.

Porsche has becoming an MLM scheme, and I completely refuse to support their shitty business practices. Things weren't this bad before COVID. Every time I've walked into a Porsche dealership since I've been treated like crap just to sit in a Cayman S or base Carrera and try to order something like a GTS or a GT4. Porsche can suck my balls. I wouldn't buy one even if I had the money to. Z06 and Audi R8 are more unique products for less money.

I haven’t backed out on the GTS as Porsche has held my deposit and put me on the wait list for the 992.2 generation now but they cannot confirm any details of PTS and other options I wanted on the 992.1. It’s not outrageous to want a PTS+ when your spending as you say north of $180k USD (here in Australia $450k AUD) and then being a little miffed when after 18 month wait told you cannot have PTS because Porsche Germany decided to switch PTS off in Australia…. Not what I consider good customer relations…. So loving my awsome manual BSM M2 on a daily basis…

I had a Carrera T allocation last fall and passed because my spec would have been $145k USD. It felt excessive for what you are getting (6mt 379hp rwd). Tbh, the car did not drive like a $145k car either. I ended up keeping my g87 as I felt it does 85% of what the 911 could do at 50% of the price. I needed something with back seats to take the kids around but at $145k if 2 seats is ok, I would step up to a 991.1 gt3 or step up to a 991.2 gt3 (for a little bit more money). The way Porsche has priced new 911 is just ridiculous. My next addition to the garage is def some form of 991 gt3.

Here in Australia Porsche motor cars still have only 3 years of factory warranty, where as BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz come with 5 years. In this day and age I think 3 years is subpar for a prestigious brand such as Porsche. For the record I have never kept a Porsche out of warranty...and believe me Porsche cars do have warranty claims within that first 3 years! Hence, the G87 has delivered peace of mind for that first 5 years of ownership.

The same people who compare their 911s to Ferraris and McLarens. Every car maker has brand whores chasing the next, most expensive thing to show off. Believe it or not, some of us here like BMW for the sake of it.

As a fellow Australian, I concur. The problem with Australia is our luxury car tax which is still understandably less than some other nations with import taxes…but still.
Especially, when it comes to resale depreciation hits hard. |

I agree with you and Thanks all for the info, I appreciate it. since you helped me, I also want to help you, if you are a student, then I can feel you. Last week I completed my research paper and I know that, sometimes how hard it is hard to do the work, because of the tons of data you have collected, but then Lifsaveer came into my life https://academized.com/custom-research-paper academized, a writing service provider website. from there I hired a professional writer to help me out and it went well, they did a great job in terms of work and in terms of their affordability also.

It’s really not a fair comparison. I own a G42 M240 as DD and a 992 C2S Cabrio as my fun car. I opted against the M2 as DD (but did test drive one) because I do a lot of long interstate driving and the M240 is just more comfortable as a cruiser. The 992 is playing in another league. You don’t buy a 992 for its infotainment system (iDrive is ways ahead) or its interior material (in its base from) but for what Porsche has done in perfecting its engineering of this cars engine, transmission, chassis in 60 years of development etc etc.
