OT: Holiday Locations Gallery

Since I'm going to be on holiday in the Maldives for the next 2 weeks, I thought I'd start this thread.

Here's a shot of the area I'm off to with my wife & there'll be more of that after I get back!

I'd like to say one thing before I leave.

Carlos- 'relax', think before you post & try not cause complete & utter havoc, at least until I get back, ok!

Hopefully, the likes of Paul (1stnewcar), Matt (mjh93sa) & Gordon (Z4 Beemer) will keep things running as smoothly as possible.

They have my permission to verbally 'slap' anyone whom they feel is causing a 'disturbance'!

Please try to search BEFORE starting new threads, just in case there already is an appropriate thread(s) to post into.

Oh- & please try to avoid posting shots of you sticking your ar*e out of hotel windows- you can use flickr for that.

Viv - have a good one. I went there a couple of years ago and it is an amazing place. Areyou popping over to Sri Lanka while your there? Only 40 mins from Male .......

I am sure that the world will keep turning while your away!

Not sure about Sri Lanka- haven't planned a trip there yet- will have a 'wander' around when we get there.

As for the world turning, it just sometimes seems that Carlossofcentrifugalforce's world spins at a different speed to everyone else's!

I haven't had a proper hol for 3.5 years.

So we're going to St Lucia for a couple of weeks before Chrimbo.

We're staying in these little bungalows at East Winds.

Can't wait....

bonny wee scotland

It was 3C when I got up this morning. I'm down at the coast so the cars don't get covered in frost usually, but heard a few people say they had to scrape the ice off their car windows this morning!!

Will vouch for that. It's been sodding freezing the last couple of days in W Scotland. However, the weather's been glorious, and I got up to the Highlands (Glen Nevis) yesterday for the afternoon (think that constitutes a holiday for me!) and it was wonderful - only 30 mins of rain!

Reethi Beach Resort - Maldives:

Ravello - Italy (this is probably among the most famous views of italy and is on the cover of LOTS of guidebooks).

The Belvedere d'infiniti - now part of a Virgin Hotel, but once the place where Greta Garbo first 'went to be alone'.

Grasmere ...

Firenze ...

Viv isn't a moderator, but he's well known to the authorities (the moderators of the forum - not the boys in blue).

I think his account allows him to do a few bits and pieces that usually only a moderator can do (e.g. edit polls etc). He also tends to contact the mods to keep things tidy when required.
