My rule of dining on road trips is that I want to try places that we don't have at home as much as possible. Since Dead Robin has been gone from our area for 15 years, we gave it a shot since it was right next to the hotel we stayed at last night and July 4th calls for burgers. Quote:
They make great burgers for sure, but ruin their famous in-store-cut fries by cooking them in peanut oil. It seems to be a chain-wide thing where you order a regular fries and they give you a heaping, overflowing bag of them. (They have bags of farm potatoes stacked all around the restaurants, and a sign at the register informing customers what farm today's fries were grown on.) I only go there for the burgers, which blow Wendys' burgers out of the water.....

Last night, for the 4th, we had: Ribs, grilled chicken, grilled lobster, baked beans, 2 salads with home made dressing, cookies, lemon bars, champagne, wine & beer! It was a damn feast I tell ya
