Double Warranty XS Payment
Car in with BMW I have an extend BMW Warranty with £100 xs.
It was in a week a go and work done to resolve an issue & given back ( £100 paid). Issue not resolved so back in. Now require a further £100 payment. I am getting my moneys worth on parts (so clearly the warranty was the right call) but my point is 2 visits to fix 1 issue is in my book one payment. |

I agree, if it's the same issue it's the same fix therefore one excess; if you paid your insurance company an excess after an accident, you wouldn't expect to pay another excess if the car wasn't repaired properly & had to go back. I would make a complaint to the service manager in the first instance, good luck.

I dont see why it requires two payment.
One claim equals one excess, them resolving it first time or not is a different matter.

Had a similar issue last year. I initially called BMW uk/warranty guys for advice, they basically said to me its up to the garage to contact them and explain the situation to waive the 2nd excess. I spoke to service manager at the dealer & explained that BMW UK need you to call them and tell them its the same issue & that 2nd excess should not be charged. In the end i only had to pay the excess once despite everyone insisting i had to pay it the second time!! Don't give up!!

Thanks. Paid today to get the car.
But the onslaught of complaint E-mails has just started. Lucky I booked by E-mail so have a record of time points. Wish me luck. |

I took my car in for an oil leak, paid my excess and when I got the car back it was still leaking. I returned the car to the dealer a week later who tried to charge the excess again...once I explained that they had failed to fix the fault correctly the first time they waived the excess charge. I think it's more of an administrative error than anything.
