I am happy to see the comparison video, however two points:
1) You can't get the RS3, not for a while anyway, meanwhile I have been enjoying my M240!
2) The rs3 really should be compared to the new M2, or M240 to the s3.

I was planning on buying an RS3 and then Audi Canada pulled the rug on selling any 5 cyl here. After some time to digest, I think the m240i will be a better daily driver for me.
Agreed that it isn't a fair comparison. But that shows how great the 240 is.

I like the rs3 having owned vag cars for the past 15 years but for the money I’d rather sacrifice a bit of road feel for a coupe rather than a family hatch and a good quality interior. The previous a3 interior was a big step above the new one

My main issue with Audi, and why I won’t own another one for a while is the after care… bmw might not be any better, but I’m yet to get to the point where I need to…

Dealers marking cars up massively over RRP - disgusting behaviour - I get it on a 2nd hand/2nd registration car. But on a brand new one, don’t agree with.

Audi service in the 2 dealerships near me was ‘terrible’. Issues would be identified and Audi UK wouldn’t authorise the work without me kicking up a big fuss.

Exhaust tips on my Audi sport exhaust had paint coming off them after 6 months of ownership - finally ‘resolved’ after 2.5 yrs, and many, many emails/calls’.

Oem tyres (Pirelli P-Zero’s) would wear to the cords after around 3-4k of use (not hard driving).
Audi’s response was it’s a sports car and normal. Yet all the facelift 8v’s do the same thing - really dangerous but Audi didn’t care.
Once switched to ps4s’s no issues. But then Audi didn’t like it as it wasn’t oem.

Audi dropped support for Audi maps about 2 yrs through ownership. Dealers didn’t have a clue how to resolve, although still under warranty. 3rd parties offering fixes and took Audi 3 months to resolve (and then initially wanting to charge me).

The Audi app was next to useless (not just feature wise) - most the time it was down for maintenance or just didn’t work.

The servicing is crazy (maybe similar for a full blown M car. But no reason for it - just RS tax).

While my facelift 8v rs3 saloon was quick (stage 1 + dsg map), and sounded immense. It was such a boring drive.

I like the RS3, RS4 and RS6 but the price lately is just crazy for those. also, the lack of a real RWD car from them is a bummer. The interior is very nice with those but I wanted an RS5 coupe back when that was the deal. The RS3 is tiny for a four door saloon as they say. I don't know about much but the M240i is a great deal for what cars cost currently. Every now and then I consider what I could have gotten for the price and its not even close.

I watched a recent review on the RS3 and it was praised for the engine, and that's it. It has a cheap interior.

Many of the recent car magazine reviews seem to like the previous rs3 version over the upcoming 2023 rs3, and the old one is actually a tad faster 0-60.

I drove the previous rs3 back to back with an M2 four years ago, and immediately bought an M2. The rs3 was super fast, but had no soul. The M2 was (and still is) a hooligan. That's my type of car!
