Carly V2 for BMW

Hi Guys

I have just purchased the Carly V2 adapter so I can code my car - what are the difference between the free app and the full app on iOS

I primarily only want to code a few features mainly the folding mirrors on lock/unlock

However if there are major benefits I wouldn't mind paying for the full app

Kind Regards

The free one is so that you can connect and verify it working. The full app is so that you do in app purchases for coding.

Yeah, you will have to purchase the full version if you want to do any coding. All you can do in the free one is make sure you can connect to your car. you cannot code or read codes or anything on the free version. I think the app is well worth it to have.

I've been using the BT version on Android. I have a V1 and a V2 adapter.
The V2 adapter is much better (BT) I know the iOS version requires WiFi.
I've never had a problem with either V1 or V2.
I code my E90 with a V1 and I also have an X5 that I code with a V2.

I agree that the full version is well worth the purchase price. I have V2(Gen 2 Adapter) and use the Android app on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ with the Bluetooth option. I have coded my E70(sold), E90 and F15. I have had some issues reading modules at times but the issue is usually resolved within a couple app updates cycles.
That said I have had difficulty coding iDrive even after purchasing the iDrive Coding Unlocked.

So in order to use iCarly, it requires the initial price of the app AND addition prices for coding?
