I can't believe they won't offer a manual.

Although I've warmed up just a tad bit. Only to THIS particular limited edition model and color scheme (no surprise that SHMEE grabbed this exact trim) I'm very disappointed that Toyota added all of those non-functional scoops and inlets:hood and rear fender.
Otherwise, it'll turn heads on the road. It is ALL BMW iDrive! |

I had one of these. 1986.5 Toyota Supra. The new one is a bit pricey.

I think the pricing is pretty great, considering it's aiming at cars that cost 20k more. The i6 BMW Z4 that is this cars brother is almost 70k!!

So is it literally iDrive with a Toyota skin on it? The inside basically looks like any new BMW. I'm kinda confused by this whole thing. What does it have to do with Toyota, or supra history?
Car looks awesome though. Also -- no manual?! What are we doin here. |

Good looking car, if a bit busy. Underpowered though, and at that price point I couldn't see myself buying it over a number of other cars. Curious to see if they will bump it up with performance models at a later date.

It doesn't get more bmw than this without a bmw badge
But it all was pretty clear to me right from the beginning that toyota would give 0% efford in the technical design. This is 100% a BMW made up with 100% BMW (and BMW OEM) parts with just some toyota drawn body panels. (despite some people on here claiming that it would get a transaxle and whatnot... all bullshit of course and obvious if you know how such cars are build) But not an attractive car in my eyes; typical toyota styling imho very busy and no cohesion like all their current cars.

I had an 1987/88 Supra that looked like the one pictured here. Think the new one looks kinda like the Alfa Romeo 4C.

As others are saying here, I just posted this in another Supra thread.
I don't get it, why not just get a Z4? It is way more of a BMW than it is a Toyota. Agree with other posters that it isn't great looking inside or out IMO. |

I think even an M240i would be an option, the performance is identical, availability of a 6 speed, back seats and fully loaded it is close to the base price of the Supra. I am intrigued though, from the used market a few years down the line.
