Cool G'day from new member : 2010 BMW 323i

Since my 1st BMW purchase 1-2 weeks ago, I've been reading up on the forum on mods and other interesting news. Cool app btw.

I bought a demo 2010 MY10.5 BMW 323i M Sport Innovations (with 18 inchers, sunroof & heated seats). Had about 6500 kms on it and got it financed via BMW finance for $59k.

Couple of questions :
1. Really enjoying my purchase so far but one thing I wanted to clarify was that when my foot is off the accelerator, the car feels like its been pulled back and not free flowing from the car's momentum (if that makes sense). As if the car dropped a gear and applied the brakes abit. Is that normal?

And the other day when i was reversing the car from a cold start, the car jerked for a couple of seconds...

2. Don't know what the use is for voice commands coz a) im having real difficulties in getting it to dial my iphone (yes, BT is connected); and b) can't get it to input destinations on the GPS.

Haven't thought of much mods yet - the only one i wanna get are black grills - which i've read i can get em from Jason from Eurodivision. I assume its top quality?

Anyway, if you guys can shed some light on the above would be awesome. Got some pics.

Congrats mate, she's a beaut. I'll answer your first question, YES it is normal as it always happened in my X3 as well (i think it's to do with holding onto the gear). Enjoy your car bra.

Firstly welcome!

1) If you were accelerating hard and backed off while in upper rev range its just the gear which makes it seem like the car is 'braking.' Change up at this point and I think you will get the 'momentum' feeling you're after. Same thing for when dropping down gears, I don't think the car actually brakes, its just the way the gearbox makes it seem. Bit jerky, no real nice throttle blip :P

2) Voice commands require specific trigger words. To be honest I don't really know how to use my voice command much, but I do know "Dial number" and can successfully call like that. I don't have an iphone though.

Anyway car looks great! LCI Msport is awesome!

Voice is shit IMO

The only command I use is map and even then at beat it's a 50:50 proposition

Jason has matte black grills but not gloss black sadly as the rest of my trim is gloss black

here is the install guide for the grille replacement. takes you longer to read it than to do the actual install

The grills from Jason are excellent, I put mine on last week.

Great buy on your car, she's hot!

dude changing grills on E90 LCI is a 15 second job. You pull. And they come out. Ask PWOH about the heart attack I almost gave him, first time I met him I went and pulled his grills out lol!

spho4 I haven't done too much to my car. Just front lip/wheels/tint/angel eye change. That's the basic cosmetics covered.

For an Msport bodykit, definitely front lip ala SBC.

Splitters usually looks best on nonMsport bodykits....

oh and Welcome!

and yeh voice command is useless I never use it.

Congrats and Welcome
For the grill, you can get one from Jason. I am in Melb as well. Please let me know if you want to have a brief look on the grill(since i have installed mine), or perhaps if you need help on installing it(I did it myself, it is pretty easy)!

So I ordered the matte black grills on Sunday (via eBay) and got them today(Tuesday).

Spent about 30min figuring out how to take out the grills and finally got em on. Looks awesome.
