328xi rear windshield rubber moulding seal a little ripped will this cause a leak?

Hello eveyone,

I've got a shop do tinted windows for my 328xi. I just noticed today there was a piece of the rubber on the top was hanging. I pulled it out a little and this shows 👇 (Picture)

As soon as I did that I see there is an exposed edge from the window.
Will this cause water leak or its too small to cause an issue?

I'm guessing the guy who installed my tint was cutting the tint with a sharp blade and mistakenly cut a piece of the mould.

Should I add some nails polish or something to prevent water from going through?

Thanks so much

That is just a trim/moulding for cosmetics. The rear glass is sealed by urethane similar to the front windshield. Don't worry about that small tear, it's just cosmetic.

+1 ^

my E90 spent half of its life in CA dessert - all rear rubber trim turned into powder.

it is easy to replace, but yours is in excellent shape and will last few more years.
